Five hours of Sunrise type television? Followed by Amor stuttering his way through half an hour of news?

Censorship at its finest.

I will now use the site to shamelessly plug my own website and interests.

What Seven have now is fine. Especially Ann Sanders, don't get rid of her.

According to Todays Herald sun it will be coming out of Martin Place, Sunrise extra or something along those lines is a safe bet I reckon....

I would run it from 9.00 - 10.30 followed by the Morning News. Not a whole two hours.

Busy mornings

CHANNEL 7 is screen-testing for two hosts for a morning show that will rival Kerri-Anne Kennerley on Channel 9 and 9am with David and Kim on Channel 10.

The show will be on air straight after Sunrise from 9am to 11am.

It will be broadcast from Martin Place in Sydney, the same venue as Sunrise.

I would expect the Morning News to be done from the newsroom or Melbourne if this goes ahead. Change over takes too long.

I'm not sure about the size and dynamics of the two sets but I think it would be good if there was a sense of participation of the newsreader in the new show much like Sunrise in that the hosts could talk to the newsreader at the news desk, it works well between David & Kim with Natarsha Belling however would be better if they were in the same studio in Martin Place.

This show has so much potential and really needs to be an expansion of the Sunrise brand so that Sunrise regulars can appear and even some Sunrise segments can be carried over. Also the ability to engage with passers by in Martin Place will add so much to the format in the same way a studio audience boosts Kerri-Anne.

I don't like the sound of "Extra", it just sounds like an added on bit to the main show, I prefer Sunrise Mornings and take Kerri-Anne on directly - On another point if Seven ever establish a View-type day in review show it could be called Sunset... silly.gif

Oh no I really hope not. That is the ONLY show I follow religiously at the moment and never miss an episode, there's not many shows I can say that about. They can bone anything else they've got; Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, Dancing With The Stars, Heroes and all the other new crap I wouldn't even notice but I hope they don't get rid of this. They could always move it to 11 or 11.30am. Here's hoping.

I might be a bit squashed with both sets in place and there may be technical limitations too, but I agree - it would be great to have it all flowing together. 6 - 11:30 live tv. I'm not sure if Kerrie Anne is still pre-recorded, however it used to be [about 4 yrs ago] live monday then the rest of the episodes shot over monday/tues. If this is still the place, the new 7 show would have the upper hand in being live and up to date. Being able to discuss the news/events of the day along with the fluff.

Viewer involvement would also be a great part of the show. Just look at how many people can be gathered around sunrise at 9am. They could work to keep those people around and even more to stop by and watch. Not everybody works 9 to 5. They have the plaza, they need to use it to their advantage.

The sunrise team could head outside just before 9am to do their usual sign off, but then cut straight back in to the new hosts inside on the couches. Perhaps the desk could be moved and another soft set put in place that would be more suited to the format and style of the show.

I'm very keen to see how this show develops. I wonder if theproducer has anything to tell us about it

I'm hoping that as well. I don't care where they put it as long as it stays on. If not I'll be prayin for this new 9am show to flop so it can return to 9.30.

There's no reason why they can't put it somewhere between 11am-12pm as a double with the morning news. Anyway even if Seven does axe it there's always the chance it will still be on Prime. wink.gif

It could go on at 2pm if they dump Blue Heelers, although that's unlikely.

Having 3 similar format shows in the same timeslot is a bit much if you ask me.

Prime doesn't help me much.

Between 11 and 12 would be ok but as long as it stays on I'm happy.

And it dilutes the audience even further. Seven should be streaking ahead with shows that lack infomercials.

Using Sunrise in the title wouldnt be to great cause it will be running from 9am, a good 2 to 3 hours after the sun has risen. something morning/day-ish is whts needed.
