For those who don't know what they're on about...this is the schedule for TV2. Also, isn't there a thread for NZ TV already?

Long story short it's been dead ever since...
In that case, shouldn't it be merged with that thread?

BTW
NZ Idol returns to TV2 in 2005 (maybe TEN should broadcast that instead of American Idol)
According to the ratings TVNZ has been losing ground to TV3, C4 and a resurgent Prime. Also NZ On Air is pleased that Prime will be broadcasting a minumum 5.5% of local programming. With TV One at 55% and TV2 at 23%. While TV3 at 20%.
Most notebly Paul Holmes leaving TVNZ to host a new current affairs program "Paul Holmes" on Prime
TRN (The Radio Network) dumpsthe easy listening i brand (originally Radio i ) and establish a new network which is called Viva FM. Targeting the 30 to 54 demographs.
With Canwest MediaWorks launching RadioLive, targeting the 20-40's

SBS used to show Shortland Street many years ago.Why o Why does SBS have NO New Zealand programs (i.e Shortland Street, One News, 3News, Inside NZ)
Surely SBS can fit SOMETHING in.
News programmes are difficult to show because of rights issues.

Is New Zealand TV fun to watch? BTW, I wonder if the TV2 idents will eventually be funny, like BBC2?
PS. Which New Zealand TV channel is the non-commercial one?
1 - I don't know if New Zealand TV is fun to watch? I don't think the current lot of TV2 idents are meant to be funny...
2 - I think all the NZ TV channels are commercial....even TVNZ, which is state owned.

It's Australia's ABCWho does TVNZ get their international stuff from? The ads on their website say BBC, NBC, ABC, Reuters and CNN. Could the ABC in that be our ABC, or the american ABC?
They used to have a news agreement with Nine but that came to an end about the same time that Prime and Nine got into bed across the Tasman.
ABC America cooperates with TV3
