Although the cross was branded live - it didn't appear to be! I'd bet money it was pre-recorded shortly before going to air!

Today Tonight, as I've said many times - should let ACA deal with the rubbish like rowdy neighbours, or alledged Muslim terrorists in Penrith's backyard. They're good at that.

But TT should do what's in it's name (sort of); report on the people and things BEHIND the story - put a special angle (NOT unusual, Frankie! ;P) on today's stories tonight.

This was so much better than the usual crap they have on the show. Get more of this!! Get a person who's caught up in it's perspective - get relatives, do background information on people, etc etc.

With this, I'd like TT to rebrand in the new year taking this approach. A smaller set is all that is needed (standing in front of a screen is fine) but get the stories right first. Helen Wellings can still do consumer affair products, like skin care, etc etc. Just not stupid lies!!

It's like a politician presenting a lottery update. His sophisticated presentation doesn't go with the crudeness of this show.

I gave a synopsis of the technical error(s) that occurred at the start on the Melbourne transmission, in the Seven news thread.

He is my pick for a Sydney version of TT. Could file such great stories.

Except he wouldn't. He'd be stuck in the studio like Helen, only I'm front of the camera for a few minutes, introducing a dodgy story. See post above.

Yes, but in my alternate reality they would make TT watchable by doing it properly and getting the presenters out of the studio. Ah well.

Great news!! She is much better than Rob and Helen while we're on the topic!! Rob may have won 2 Walkely awards, but he can't present with an ounce of quality IMO!

Queensland got the NSW and Vic version of Today Tonight this evening.

Why was that? Are they simply not recording a local edition during the Christmas period?

They have the past couple of weeks with Angie Asimus hosting, but most not be this week.

I really liked that idea. It was a lovely touch. I am surprised the show will be airing tonight on Christmas day. Will it be live?

"We look forward to leading the way again in 2014" - a cheesy sign off! They didn't lead the way in 2013!
