First show will actually be starting at 8.35pm. Second show will be starting at 8.50pm.

Wedged between two movies on a Saturday night is a rubbish timeslot and it will have a different start time ever week. Worst possible scenario on Ten.

Agreed. This sandwiching between movies and floating timeslot idea is completely wrong. It's alienating any existing fans of the show and does nothing to encourage new ones.

And Night At The Museum... pardon the pun, but, seriously??? Wasn't that on just before Christmas? Or at least November?

Ten must be in a wheelchair by now because they've shot themselves in the foot that many times in the last 12 months or so.

LOL! It's absolutely absurd to think a poor rating movie will somehow provide a good lead in to an erratically scheduled Graham. It just beggars logic to think Saturdays' big first run program, which Ten has devoted some ad money in promoting is sandwiched between two crappy Ten movies. Is that really Ten's long term plan, do they even have 80 or so titles to get them through the year?

They should have just kept it in its Thursday 9.30 slot or tried it out on another night at 9.30.

So, did anyone watch this tonight. I must say that despite the fact that the show is now on a commercial network, its new timeslot is actually more convenient for me. I kind of forget that the show is on when Thursday night comes around but seeing as there is nothing on Saturday night, it sticks out.

How did they work in the commercials? The same kinda-awkward way UKTV does in between segments?

What they did was they faded in the theme music, then cut to an excerpt of the opening titles. Then when they came back, it just started straight away, but they had the logo that they have been using in the ads in the bottom left hand corner. I actually thought it was quite a good way to handle it.

It will be interesting to see how the show rates tomorrow. It should get at least the same audience that it gets when played on ABC2 or encored on ABC1. It was interesting that tonight they had all British people on including the musical guest. In future weeks, this probably will diverge so if ratings are bad tomorrow, it should gain later on.

Ratings have arrived with Graham Norton watched by 455,000 last night, making it #9 for the night and TEN's most-watched Saturday show.

So it potentially could be massive if it ran at 9.30pm on a weeknight. I was out so didn't watch it but usually never miss it.

I think that's quite good for TEN for now. I think some people may be put off by the ads and may not watch next week, but if it CAN hold its audience, TEN may want to consider trying something at 7.30pm to give the show a more stable timeslot and a potentially bigger audience.
I. Like. That.

455,000 isn't bad for a Saturday night. If TEN can get some sort of reliable schedule it could pick up a few more (plus it is still summer, could pick up in Winter)

Is it wasted on Saturday nights? Could TEN have some life by airing it 8.30 Friday followed by House at 9.30 Friday? 455,000 is good for the show but a repeat of Mean Girls would probably do the same?

Not too bad a result. Will be interesting to see how it goes in coming weeks.

It won't have a stable timeslot on Saturdays with movies ending at different times so it will suffer. It needs a stable timeslot.

It looks like it is back to an 8:30 start. Still wedged between movies which aren't really the same audience; Dr Doolittle and then Volcano after...

Hmm, well to be fair, it was up against a Lleyton Hewitt match, and it lifted from its lead in quite well. Ten needs to sort that out.
