A very dodgy edit of theme music there on that Opener.

But apart from that minor detail, I'm not really a fan of these headline-less Openers and doubt they'll last more than two weeks like the last time that Nine attempted to cut out headlines from Opener (here in Sydney, at least) back in April-May 2011. IIRC, ratings actually shifted in Seven's favour during that very short period! :eyepopping:

Also missing identification of the presenters - no graphic with names either.

It's been like that for a while at QTQ. No intro of names or lower third. Personally have never liked the generics This is Nine News Queensland voice over.
I do note however, this change of voice over signals the removal of the Peter Harvey voice over.

I doubt Nine News Brisbane will persist with no-headlines for much longer. Headlines are an essential part of an news bulletin IMO and should always be retained in some form. I predict Nine News Brisbane will return headlines in a few weeks.

I wish that the morning and afternoon bulletins would use headlines too!

I hate how they never use them :(

Nine News First at Five's first story was on the US school shooting. The reporter in the US failed to mention what happened to the shooter.

An interesting tweet today from someone at Nine News Brisbane, who posted the weekly wins (30-5) or something similar and said something along the lines of "against adversity best left unspoken".

The adversity would be the server issues they've been experiencing all week.

so they have been suffering from that, hence the weird openers? Thanks NW.
