From what I understand only TCN use that first on nine sting. Maybe STW crashed before the bulletin or something.

Perhaps it was just cheaper/more convenient to keep the TCN crew back for a bit instead of bringing in a whole team for a single bulletin in Perth.

It's just a bit random that they did this once off.

There was no activity from the presenters on Twitter etc like there normally is so I would say it was planned.

A source told me that there was a major problem in Perth.... and they barely managed to scrape the 30 minute bulletin to air.

If this problem happened in Sydney or Melbourne, it would be 3 pages long at MediaSpy by now with video and caps :)

Meanwhile, TCN's obsession with NASCAR incidents will be satisfied tonight. Big fire in the pits should get a run

Can happen to everyone sometime. At least they got a bulletin to air rather than black which still seems to rate, apparently.

So what was shown from 6.30 - 7.30?

ACA and Big Bang Theory.
I think the news actually finished just after 6:35 or near 6:40.

Expect a delay to Nine News on the east coast tonight - ANZAC Day NRL game in progress currently suspended due to severe thunderstorm in Sydney - with only 27 minutes in the first half played.

Even if there was no rain delay, the game would've finished past 6pm as it didn't start until 4.20ish

News will probably be delayed until 6.30pm or later

Yep delayed.

So the delay in the @NRL has delayed our 6pm news @9NewsSyd. Stick around - we've got a good one for you. Met some wonderful Aussies today.

News started at 6.32pm. In Brisbane, no radio simulcast on River 94.9. Darren Curtis is also live from ANZAC Square. Been a long day for him - as he introduced the local Dawn Service coverage at 4.30am this morning.
