Bit of history here:

Remember that like it was yesterday. Sandra was on holidays in Thredbo at that time.

From Presenters thread...

Don't know if anyone noticed but the Sydney background was used for about 10 minutes during tonight's weekend news. Looks better than the blue newsroom background.

Was National background up until & during the cross for "Money Talk" at about 5.27

Then, when returned it was the Sydney Background

Until the return from ad at about 5:35 when it went back to the National Background.

The could solve this problem by doing local news at five in all states. I hate national news from ten on weekends.

Wonder why they don't put a Perth backdrop up for Perth's weekend news.

That Sydney one looks much better than the national news room version.

I'd be fine with a national bulletin if it wasn't so incredibly boring. I was expecting big changes when Flannery came on board, but it's still full of drawn out weather reports and uninformative themed segments which have no place in a news bulletin.

Because they put absolutely no thought or effort into their news presentation. Why spend a few hours making up a Perth backdrop when the newsroom one's already there?

I think all their Perth viewer would prefer it. It either hasn't occurred to them (what does that say about their ability when viewers come up with better ideas than them?), or they just can't be bothered. They're on the other side of the country, they need to put a lot of effort into every detail if they hope to compete with Nine and Seven's local offerings. Right now it's just not cutting it.

I actually like the bulletin with Matt and Natarsha. Can't stand Rob tho and don't like the weather segments.

But if Ten Perth cant do anything with their set, suppose we can't expect too much from Sydney.

What a disgrace . Would have hoped channel ten would have been more professional instead of celebrating this star wars may 4th stuff.

Disgrace? I don't think they went to air like that. There's nothing wrong with bit of office fun.

Anchorman stitch-up

Bit of a giggle.
On a side note, the top Natarsha had on was awful. Not only was it suited more to a granny but the blue made her get lost in the background.
