A simple photo of Obama during his speech would have been better.

The first segment went for 16 minutes of the bulletin and was completely dedicated to reports from about 6 or 7 reporters, including Leisa Roles, Mark Suleau, Simon Hooper, Tim Collitis, Anthony Donaghue and Nicky Haydon
In the second segment, they talked to a family who had a gum tree through their roof. Georgie then interviewed a weather forecaster from the Bureau. Amanda Fitzgerald was also then live on location in The Gap, and featured Viewer videos and rainfall totals in the Weather preview.
In the third segment Georgie spoke to Mike Swansen from Energex about the power outages, and possible restoration times. Afterwards, she moved onto two other news items. No Traffic Reports today.
In the forth segment, they crossed back to Bill and they spoke about the effort undertaken by people to help out their neighbours and people that need it. Premier Anna Bligh also joined him live and said its some of the worse damage shes ever seen from a natural disaster. There was also a report from Nicolas Boot.
Sport was then on as normal.
Amanda then presented the weather live on location from The Gap.
Bar two other news items, all the main news items tonight were about the storms. A good extended coverage effort by Ten.
(On a random note, there was a nice shot from the Channel Ten transmitter camera of a nearby lightning strike, they used in a report and coming back from the first commercial break.)

Ten News only occupies the first 2.40 minutes, and includes their opener for the night. The rest from that point on is Seven's coverage.
There is a nice shot of the Channel Ten Transmitter being hit by lightning in the video as well, which they showed coming back from the first commercial break.

Its the third straight day he has been live on location in the area. Lexy Hamilton-Smith also filled in for Georgie tonight. Also featured a breaking news cross to the Ten News helicopter for a report from Leisa Roles on 11 children being rescued from the Caboolture River.

Yeah I agree Out of the Blue is woeful and the acting is awful. It is annoying having to wait until 11pm for
the Late News. Ten should either put this crap drama on after the news or axe it all together, I would prefer the latter.
