I don't know if anyone noticed, but Sports Tonight aired at 6pm tonight in Melbourne only on TenHD (TenSD were showing Out of the Blue)... The intro said something about it being a "HD only edition"... Ten are gearing up for the introduction of OneHD it seems.

Has it always been like that though? I'd imagine seeing as Ten HD showed their news during the week at 5:30 to 6:30, so Simpsons/Friends/B&B were never shown on the HD channel. I'd imagine they'd do the same with OoTB (which airs 5:30 to 6:30 as well).

You missed my point. Sports Tonight did not air at all on Ten's main channel. It aired exclusively on TenHD at 6pm.

Ten's early schedules had new Futurama slotted for Friday 8.00pm following new Simpsons, but it seems to have been dropped in favour of another Simpsons repeat...

That makes more sense then Futurama as a lead in to Medium.

What's the difference though? Simpsons and Futurama are both animation comedies.

Is Futurama even available to them yet?

Just looked it up on Wiki and it seems Bender's Game hasn't even aired in the US yet. Not even an air date was mentioned.

Ten needs to think about extending its news till 6:30pm!

I've got a funny feeling they are thinking about it. They had extending news last night which indicates to me that they were thinking about moving it to go till 6:30.

So with that logical can we expect Seven News from 6:00pm to 7:00pm and Today Tonight to move to 7:00pm? scared.gif

with that logic. Ten don't normally have special news coverages. I think if ten was to have special news services they wouldn't do it during primetime unless they were considering moving it. I think it was a test trial at a convinient time. And no seven and nine did similar things sunday night whereas ten didn't.

At the very least Ten should extend their Sunday night news to one hour and air Sports Tonight at 6pm - would be a better lead in for their night.

Ten news should be an hour long everyday. There's no point of keeping Sports Tonight once One launches.

ST should keep exclusively on ONE. Do 5.30-6.30 or 5-6.30. 6pm on Weekends.

House back to 8:30 next wednesday. Maybe a silly move by 10.

According to Yahoo7 TV Guide, the dumb move is official. Not only is Ten potentially destabilising the show, but why on Earth would you move it when it's performed well in a late timeslot? Ratings 101, late night raters increase your nightly share, take note Ten!

I agree with you. Ten rated realy well last Wednesday.

House almost doubled its audience from late last year.

Life gave them great late night shares.

What would be the reason for this move. It will only make their night worse.

It was only one episode. It needs to be there for a few weeks to label it a success.
