Is the radio show live?

Hmm.. good point. I'm not sure. Wouldn't be any conflicts if his radio show is pre-recorded.

For those who keep asking whats going to happen to Biggest Loser and Masterchef...David Mott from ten has already stated that those show will move to 7:30 in 2010.

I also read somewhere that James Matheison was considering leaving radio but I am not too sure if that was confirmed.

If James is just doing Media/Sports he could be doing pre-recorded reports.

We know that. It has been speculated for some months. But what I think people are worried about is that what if it fails misserably. Will they still commit to it?

There was no need to say it's a year round commitment. It hasn't even aired yet and there has to be a minimum that will be accepted. If it does well then it should continue, but just wait a bit. No one needs to know 2010 plans yet.

It’s no secret getting the 7pm timeslot right is a focus for us,” Mott told the Daily Telegraph. “As a network the timeslot is critical for us and what we needed was a show that can sit there five days a week for the whole year, like a soap.”

You had a soap, Out of the Blue. Just never gave it a chance.

It may have bombed, but we’ll never know and OOTB is not a clone of the Home and Away we see today.

And what happens if this show flops? It could affect the ratings of Biggest Loser & Mastchef at 7.30pm. Given that these shows rated well at 7pm it's a bit of a risk moving them.
Of course if the 7pm Project is a success, then it will be hailed as a good decision.

I will point and laugh.... well in a pseudo manner @ Roving Enterprises and other 10 executives if this falls flat (which i'm tipping it will) and taken off the air early ala Taken Out (although i loved it) and Yasmin's Getting MARRIED hyper.gif.

I don't think the figures of this show will affect TBL or MC. Look at the lead in they have at the moment... Neighbours only does 700-850k and still MC manages huge figures. The 7:30pm timeslot is when MC and TBL always fire higher I think that's why ten want a show all year round at 7 and their reality programs at 7:30. Not a stupid move IMO but its risky saying its a 52 week committment.

It'd be amazing what would happen if it does fire. You can't really judge it at the moment. So many people thought MC would flop in its first week and look what's going on now! If The 7pm Project does work out well, then it's gonna be easier for them to get good ratings and maybe even win some nights with their only efforts going into fixing up 8:30-10:30. 7pm and their reality shows would just rate without any effort then 5 nights a week.

That is up until the latter part of the year, although they could just keep shows like TBYG, 5th Grader and the likes for the latter part: utilising Factuals, Simpsons and one hour versions of the reality series.

Yeah losing the 7:30 timeslot to their stripped reality shows will be tough to cope with. TBYG will probably move to a timeslot post-MC then unless they decide to strip it down to half hour. That obviously means their half hour factuals will be shown during the TBL/MC part of the year and the one hour 7:30 shows will be shown after that, including TBYG, 5th Grader and whatever else there is.

I could see Biggest Loser etc... have 2-3 one hour shows a week. 7.30-8.30 on a Monday-Wednesday or something.

Here's my thoughts on the presenting team
Ruby Rose: never understood all the hype about her...I've never seen her on MTV once (and I do have MTV)

Yeah I didn't even know MTV had VJ's - I watch MTV for the outrageous parade of reality shows featuring psychotic narcissists going at it without a trace of shame, didn't know there was music on the channel!

I'd actually see Masterchef/TBL with one hour versions on Sundays/Mondays/Wednesdays and Fridays, They'd put TBYG on Tuesday and maybe Sitcoms on the Thursday (they'll have a lot of US sitcoms available next year)

That comment is only there because the show will not air in Tasmania. So will Ruby avoid underage sex scandle ...or is that the PG rating hook "ala TT ACA" ?

Parents be warned... gayness results in highly visable strange multicoloured skin blemishes that are not easily removable! hyper.gif

Tween sleepover slumber party leads to an unexpected life choice result. " My parents told me to stay away from Boys", says happy Gay. yummy.gif

Looks like I'll be giving it a gi-normous miss: "The Third Veronica" is Strike One, and Dave Hughes pretty much covers the next dozen or so strikes...
