I think there should be a thread on what television advertisements you love and hate that are on now so I have created one. Before you rant or praise an ad write wheter you LOVE, LIKE, DISLIKE or HATE it. You can also reminise about ads that have aired previously and classic ads. I will get this started:

I usually LOVE the CARLTON DRAUGHT ads. From the Very Big Ad onwards.
I LIKE the Tooheys New ad where they are giving the carbs (that used to be in the beer) to the Americans. Thats funny.
I LIKE the Cadbury ad with the moving eyebrows which has great music.

I DISLIKE the Vodafone ads. I just don't like this ad as a whole.
I HATE the sexual dysfunction ads from AMI. They are on during the day and late at night. Recently, I have seen these ads on as early as Ten'sLate News with Sports Tonight and The Jonathan Ross Show. These really piss me off, especially late at night when it is so quiet. I usually end up pressing the mute button.
I HATE those late night sex-based subscription ads were a woman talks 'sexy' about women who are taking their clothes off. I say f*** off. Only an idiot would call into those. That is what the internet is for.

Are there any ads which make your blood boil or some which you can't get enough of?

LOVE the Carlton Draught ads.....The very big ad will forever be a favourite.

HATE the tax agent ad where the man walks around covered in receipts. The old lady on the bus should headbut him as he takes her seat.

Find the Toohey's ad with the carbs frustrating.........the F-100 is parked on the wrong side of the road for America.
Showed that ad to some American friends. Now working overtime to patch those friendships up.

LIKE the Home Hardware ads as they slag off Bunning's.Funny.

LIKE the Bottle Mart "Close to you" ads.But there's only two of those. Can't this Homer Simpson lookalike make more? He'd blend into the crowd easily enough !

Hate VB as a beer......but the orchestra ad from 2008 was very clever.LOVE that ad.

HATE all the Bundy ads."A man who's not afraid to wear pink"??????? It's a friggin Polar Bear woman! Are your eyes painted on?
Shorting out the neons at Bily Bob's Bourbon Bar ? And Billy Bob laughs? What a dickhead. They just vandalised his property and he rewards them ? Double dickhead.

The new Valvoline ad with Ricky Ponting and John Laws? Who got paid to come up with rubbish?Give the money back. You don't deserve it.

I can't believe this 'Double Take' promo/skit is still going around, many viewers actually believe it's a real ad. I just saw it again a few minutes ago during a Seven ad break, without any references to 'Double Take'.

I hate the jobsjobsjobs dot com dot au ad - whoever came up with that should be taken outside and shot

Also hate the Winston, winston with a Y ads on the radio

The Cadbury ad is clever - I like it too

Hate all the singes/sextalk phone ads - does anyone actually call them? Or rather in the case of the singles ones, does anyone other than lonely men actually call them?

Also like the Campbell soup warm tinneys ads but only because it sounds alot like they're saying warm titties not warm tinnies.

Perfect Italiano ads are classic. Whoever thought of doing a super dramatic ad for something like cheese is a legend.

The ones that I hate can be found during the footy or the Sunday morning footy shows.
The Loreal Menexpert one with Pierce Brosnan.
And both just for men ones (you nailed me!) and the one where the 2 young daughters encourage dad to use just for men to "be a nice catch for somebody". Cringeworthy.. it also appears to be South African in origin? Judging from the accent.

I LOVE those Carlton Draught ads as well. Very well done. We ended up studying it in English in year 10. (the It's a Big Ad! one, not sure if there was more than one though)
I also LOVE the beer ad (can't remember which brand) which they always used to air around the South Park time on SBS, with that huge street party and those blow up dancing balloon thingies. Then they had the catapulting deer one afterwards to make it rain beer. So awesome.
I LIKE the Lynx Click ads they used to be, with Ben Afleck. Cool song they used.
I HATE the new Lynx ads, with the guy spraying underarm sweat everywhere, then that annoying woman going "Now I really like him". Lol, big deal. Just what exactly are you guys trying to sell again?
I seem to be going against the crowd here (so far) but I UTTERLY DESPISE the new Cadbury ad with those two annoying children. It is just a 100% WTF ad and it's hardly making me think that it's a "glassful of joy" or whatever their slogan is.

Agreed. It's distracting you from the fact that they've reduced their packaging size but kept the price the same, plus changed the recipe so its sweeter then before. Needless to say I don't buy cadbury blocks anymore.

You're not the only one, I liked the gorilla cadbury ad but I hate the newer Cadbury ad with the two annoying children, it's stupid and I don't want to watch that torture. I miss the gorilla frown.gif
The 2008 smile ads promos on Nine, I hated it since STW was obsessed with them, used to just press the mute button towards the end of last year.
The Nintendo Wii ads also get annoying why do cinemas keep playing them when you think you have escaped the TV.
Government ads I hate too, nice to see where your $$ are going.

Its not official of course. But everyone that has discussed it has mentioned that it tastes sweeter, and its very clear IMO that it is. The Cocoa content has also been reduced afaik.

They added some sort of fats to it (can't remember what it was) to make it softer and to break more easily after they changed the size of the squares. There's an article from The Hobart Mercury newspaper somewhere about it.
When they reduced the size of the package they reduced the price as well to avoid so much consumer backlash.

Yeah everything that you buy these days whether it be Corn Flakes or Cadbury Chocolate, the portion sizes keep on shrinking to the point you have to buy another pack at the most Inconvenient times.

Even when you buy a pack of chips there is just only 30% Chips and 60% Air, why don't they fill it a little more.

Haha, yes! Here too.

I don't care for the long Woolworths/Continental ads, with those cheesy scenarios.

Anyway I like the Allens Lollies one with the giant doll who blows snake bubbles.. That one might only be on pay-tv.

Dunedoo could feature on those ads.

It's not famous for its dunnies.
