A special watermark was used for Eleven's repeat of MasterChef Australia last night: the word REWIND left of the 11 logo.

I like the way they've carried off the 2D look in this example from Belgium...

When I saw that I wondered why the arrow was pointing forward instead of backwards. The arrow on my Walkman's rewind button always pointed to the left.

...was in reference to the discussion about 2D or 3D logos that took place on these pages previously...

Anyone see that mass promo of all the new Aussie shows coming soon to ten? Promo looked shit. MOST (not all - before people start bagging me for being negative) of the the shows looked shit. Honestly they need to fix up their on air look so people will be attracted to the content.

Promo looks great to me. Great way to generate some interest and excitement for the second half of 2012. Puberty Blues looks like the top pick. The Julian Assange story will be timely. I’ll give the bride and date ones a miss though.

Eh. It's a promo. That alone is a tick for Ten :P.

It's way too generic though. There's no clearly defined theme or target audience. It's portraying exactly what Ten is doing. Pouring a bowl of random shows into the schedule and seeing what rates well. Nothing seems thought out that well about this schedule.

The only thing that looks remotely OK to me is the Julian Assange telemovie, and it's a telemovie. A one-off special.

To the multichannels, pay TV and Channel BT it is for me!

TERRIBLE PROMO

60 seconds of the same music over and over and over. Not a single spoken line or memorable moment from a single show. 10,000 graphics in 60 seconds on screen I had to read.

If any other company paid for 60 seconds of air time and ran a commercial this crap their entire marketing team would be fired.

Imagine

"AUSTRALIA. GET READY FOR THE ALL NEW HOLDEN COMMODORE" then 60 seconds of the car driving around the country and a Holden logo.

That is what this is

A good promo IMO. Nothing spectacular, but not a bad effort.

Wish they'd get rid of that blue and yellow logo already!

Like the one you have embraced in your avatar?

Agreed, though. Maybe you should swap your avatar logo to the fresh blue/yellow/pink ones they used earlier in the year but unwisely dropped recently. :)

Anyone saying the promo is good is wrong. It looks like the product reel they show advertisers, it doesn't do anything to actually promote their programmes - just a big bundle of different graphics and random clips. I'm left not being able to recite a single thing other than the fact it is Australian content. Better than nothing, though.

The cap on the Ten in my avatar is from a popular meme which indicates scumbagness.

I haven't viewed the promo above I'm assuming the video posted is the promo that aired on Sunday night. Having only seen said promo on Sunday I can recall a number of titles. MasterChef All-Stars, MasterChef Final, Come Date With Me, I Will Survive, Don't Tell The Bride I can recall just like that. There may have been others but I think if I can recall those five titles based on something I saw five days ago that's not bad.

Ten are using music that sounds very similar to the Seinfeld theme on their new Last Man Standing ads...

Is it a common to see a 5 Second Promo-like endtag telling viewers when they can next see their favourite shows before the credits on Ten? Like this House one I capped a few minutes ago:

For most 930 shows on ten it is. They can't be bothered making ads for 930 shows. They have the laziest and most inept promo department of all the networks.
