Since the other networks get their own threads, SBS should get one as well...

Did anyone watch tonight's Life Support? Bloody hilarious.

nope, never watched it before (don't really watch reality tv shows, even a satirical one)

pizza tonight was pretty rubbish though. i find the quality of that show is really wierd. sometimes it is good (like last week), sometimes rubbish like this week.

they probably could not put pizza on any commercial channel anyway cause the switchboards would be jammed with irate viewers!!!!!!!!!!

SBS can get away with that sort of stuff though, good on 'em

I love SBS for the simple fact that they aren't that restricted by commercial pressures. They have come up with some gems in the past few years...

* John Safran's Music Jamboree
* Pizza
* Life Support
* Eat Carpet
* Saturday night cult movies
* The Daily Show (Global Edition) (this show won an Emmy)
* South Park
* Arrggghhh! It's The Mr. Hell Show
* Erotic Tales

Not to mention its excellent news and current affairs programs and its extensive coverage of the world game (to the uninformed/ignorant, that'd be soccer).

well since they repeat the EPL game they showed the previous night, you could probably cut out 2 hrs or so

looks like last night's pizza was the last for a while, television guide on sbs site lists south park at the 8.30 timeslot for the next few weeks (might give me the chance to have a look at queer eye?)

anyone watch sbs news tonight, nice graphics for the finance section (stocks prices, AUD etc), also mary K said there is an expanded finance section in the 9.30 news tonight

I wish there was a Lee Lin Chin gallery on this site.

That chick has got to be the most radically dressed newsreader probaby in the world.

Her outfits are absolutely cutting edge stuff - no boring tweeds for our Leelee!

I wander if SBS plan to launch a morning World News bulletin. I dont think it'll hurt considering the current International climate.
Maybe they'd be restrained though because of their requirements to show LOTE News. Surely 30mins wouldnt hurt at 7am???

it's the hair and the funky frames she wears, and that grating stern schoolteacher voice, isn't it?

I just think she's terrific, and much underrated in general and also on this board.

Her hair has actually started a trend down here in Melbourne's salons - Grey is O-Kay!

the concept and the beginning of it was good, but then it just kind of dragged on, towards the end it just needed to be taken around to the back and shot

i find that the quality varies, either it is really crap or really good

They're changing their target audience to appeal to "all:" Australians.
I like the wierd Russian Lesbian movies they had!
