Ali Drower has always been a terrible news director.

Maybe she should be on MTV Australia. ;)

Here's what I think Southern Cross Ten should do with their news service:

- Air their news updates eight times a day: 6:45am, 9:30am, 12:00pm, 2:30pm, 4:00pm, 7:30pm, 8:45pm and 10:30pm
- Introduce a news bulletin for Darwin and Central Australia
- Stream their news updates online like Prime7 do.

While I have had little exposure to the news output from SC Ten, I think it is unfair to accuse Ms Drower is being a "terrible news director". She obviously has a brief from management as to what output they want - i.e. to barely fulfil the criteria set by ACMA on the cheap - and what budget (or lack thereof) and resources they are giving her to do it. She'd be only working with the meagre resources presented to her. I'm sure she (like any manager) would love to have more money and more resources to improve what they put out but if she's only given peanuts as a budget, what can she do?
