I personally don't mind the lights of the Seven News Sydney dimming out at the end of the bulletin. It's quite a nice way to close the bulletin IMO.
Armytage is doing it deliberately, she wants Bathy to trip over the cables ...

Does 7News offer live streaming of the state bulletins on their website like Nine does?

Good one Mark!Armytage is doing it deliberately, she wants Bathy to trip over the cables ...
I don't think so. Either way, apart from the ability to watch the 6pm News from other cities/states around the country, you're not missing out on much IMO because the quality of live streaming over the internet isn't that great IMO. For anyone interested, Nine's livestreams were in 240p last time I checked.Does 7News offer live streaming of the state bulletins on their website like Nine does?
As for the ratings of Seven News, I really hope something is done before Nine reclaims the #1 spot in the ratings nationwide (excluding Adelaide & Perth where Seven News has historically, almost always been rating #1 in those cities). While Seven have been cutting back costs (and more than likely in time, the quality of bulletins), Nine have been making their brand stronger here in Sydney and have been winning back viewers in the process.

Hasn't Seven realised that cutting costs now means short term gain, long term loss? Nine is leagues ahead with their news at the moment. Seven should be investing so that when the ad market recovers, it will come out stronger than ever.
Have those cost cuts been confirmed? Wasn't only a rumour? With numbers slipping in several cities, surely Seven realises now is not the time to cut spending.

7NEWS realises nothing! If they did, they'd act on these rating defeats.

The only response that Seven have is "Its a competitive market"... Ya think?

I'm still looking (8 years on) for the 2min 30second closer of the special extended 4:30 news in September 2004 of the Jakarta embasy bombing.
Originally I uploaded video of that, but I recorded over the end part of the closer with parts of the current theme, that to this day I have since not heard!!!

No way will this kind of time-consuming closer come back - the commercial networks have to sell advertising!Wish they would bring back closers like these:

Who the heck was on audio that day! That's a dreadful closer, It's the same bit of the theme over and over and it's not even blended together well... Why on earth didn't they use a variety of bits at least or even the longer versions!!

Ah so the newsroom window is still there, its just got a big black curtain over it! Would be awesome if they could build a set that incorporates it somehow. Not have it as the sets background, keep the live shot. Maybe have it as another presenting angle something, I'm sure they could get creative with it.
HSV's newsroom is designed for TV, it looks wonderfull on screen, I'd love to see it incorporated back into the set somehow.
