We're getting a 3D signal here. The picture quality looks amazing.

LCN 40. A couple of our digital television picked it up automatically. I still can-not get it to pick up on two of our set top boxes.

Managed to get a signal of 3D Trial in Brisbane. Currently showing 2D/3D side-by-side but gosh the signal is weak. It's really surprising as Mount Coot-tha is only 7km away and I'm in line of sight of the towers. Suppose it's got to do with using an indoor antenna than using the external (Too far from the connector.Issue to be rectified when I get a laptop). And if anyone needs help in Brisbane, it is 683.5.

Went to the local Good Guys and Harvey Norman stores today to see if they'd hooked their demos up to the test channel, both stores were entirely unaware of it existing. I tried to get them both to tune it in, the Harvey Norman couldn't get UHF at all (no SBS either), so couldn't get the trial, but after tracking down a cable to plug the antenna in and a bit of explaining (and pretending to be thinking of purchasing), the Good Guys got Nine 3D going and seemed to find it a good addition (compared to showing the non-3D Avatar disc in fake-D).

So if you haven't got a 3D TV, be willing to spend about half an hour explaining the channel's existence to a salesperson and you can watch it .

a remarkably similar scenario to almost a decade ago when digital TV was new... store assistants knew very little about it! I still remember the one that said I didn't need a digital set top box to view widescreen broadcast on a widescreen CRT TV.

I do not have a 3D capable TV, but I have noticed that the Ch. 35 and FOXTEL 3D broadcasts are quite different in that (when viewed on a non-3D TV):

a. Ch. 35 has sound but no picture at all.
b. FOXTEL 3D has a picture, but the 2 images used to create the 3D image are placed 'side by side'.

However, this could be due to the HDMI detecting a non-3D TV and telling the FOXTEL box to place the two images side by side.

The 3D side by side option is great. If you cross your eyes and focus on the third image in the middle that is made when you cross your eyes, the image is in 3D.

As mentioned in the Seven AFL coverage thread:

Channel Seven has indicated that it is seeking to get its foot in the door of three-dimensional television, disclosing that it will attempt to broadcast this year's AFL Grand Final in 3D.

Who is watching channel 40 3D State of Origin on 9?

The 3D Harvey Norman Graphic looks good with the 3D glasses going around during commercial breaks..

Interesting to see that there is different coverage on the two channels. The gameplay with commentary is the same, but currently, the half time report has a panel discussing in Nine and over on 3D, Ken Sutcliffe and Brad Fitler hosting their own coverage.

Currently it's replaying the game again.

Will the other two games not be in 3D?
