According to online guides, this match will be shown in Victoria on GEM and won't be live. That is the pitfall of the new broadcast arrangement.

It's better than getting it after midnight, but as its a Storm away game, what possible reason would they have to not show it live at 3pm into VIC?

Extra work associated with the live broadcast for GTV/playout facility staff?

I wonder if they're advertising this week's double header as live? It's NOT live at all, it will be at least 30 minutes behind, probably longer with the 1st game at 7:00 PM......

Save us Foxtel. It's the only way this shit will be fixed.

Yay. Here in Queensland we get stupid Shelley Craft waffling on about The Block Unlocked rather than getting the Live Broncos game tonight. And worst of all, Foxtel has it listed as "Nine's Live Friday Night Football". Nine have no clue.

Couldn't Nine put The Block on Saturday instead for QLD/NSW viewers?

People living in Brisbane could have gone to Suncorp to watch it live. A 30 minute delay is therefore warranted, but it should've been live into Sydney and Melbourne (GEM)

Uh-huh. Yep. Try fitting 300,000 people into Lang Park... I had to look after my gran last night, and we both watched the footy. So there- I couldn't have gone.

It doesn't matter if I'm watching from Wagga Wagga or next door, the game should have been live. The Block Unlocked should have been bumped to Saturday either before or after the news.

According to online guides, next Wednesday's State of Origin will be shown in SA and WA on Nine and WIN from 7.30pm to around 9.30pm, meaning coverage will begin just before the two teams enter the arena.

No live coverage on GEM for WA? That's a pretty poor effort from Nine.

Also, predictably, as soon as the final siren goes GTV will cut the coverage and go straight into, you guessed it, an hour of Big Bang repeats...

According to today's Green Guide, GTV's broadcast will end at 10.15pm (same as NSW and QLD), which means Victorians get to see post-match interviews and a quick wrap.

To quote Andrew Johns on the footy show in the pass the ball comp..."Fucking Hell". It went to air live on Nine. There were also kids in the studio as part of the segment.

It would be okay if it did but I don't think it has an M rating.

Alternative commentary by Bill McDonald will be made available on 4AAA in Brisbane and though the NIRS.

According to the CM

The Courier-Mail and 98.9FM - part of the National Indigenous Radio Service - have again combined to bring together the only commentary team free of the desperate cheerleaders who can't hide their NSW feelings.

And, this year, Radio Maroon will call every game of the Origin series, with the NIRS carrying the unauthorised call to many parts of the state and online through couriermail.com.au and the 98.9FM website.

Disgraceful bias from the commentary team in the Storm v Broncos game tonight. Billy Slater runs 80m to score an amazing try, and all they do is whinge. Why couldn't Ray Warren have stayed in Melbourne after Origin to call this game? Surely 1 v 2 is bigger than 2 lowly NSW clubs playing in front of 2 men and a dog at a deserted ANZ Stadium...
