The cat could come in quite handy. not sure what I'd do with Rochford though.

Ten struggling to pay Paul Henry's salary so they're selling off the furniture?

Saw a bit of Breakfast this morning. Was Andrew in Melbourne? (He was on The Project last night). If not, why has he been banished to the foyer?

I didn't catch the show today, but the way he's been exiled to the foyer is baffling. They should be getting all 3 hosts to do segments there, but the studio should be their base. I think the Breakfast studio is in the basement, so perhaps it's practical to keep him out there - but it's very disconcerting to have a random person pop up from an unknown location every half hour or so. If I was a new viewer I'd have no idea what his role was.

It's sinking again. 27,000 yesterday according to TV Tonight.

I'm thinking of doing up a graph plotting the ratings of Breakfast vs. Ten Newsnight Late News to see if there is indeed any carry-on. In a couple of weeks provided enough data I should post them.

'sinking again'? That implies that it went up at some point? It's been pretty consistent around the 20-30k mark any fluctations at that level are not even worth noting

Wasn't it around 30-35k for the past week?

hardly noteworthy in the overall scheme of things. A test pattern would get more viewers.

Watched Breakfast for the first time in ages due to the public holiday.

So a few observations:
-genuinely a good show...i watched from 7-9 and the time flew by. It has engaging content and a lot of variety.
- where the hell have they stuck Andrew? He has his own desk in what's the furtherest part of the ten hq. He isn't even in the news room. Its a waste having him in the middle of nowhere.
- they had a band in the news room all morning...great lighting. I could only imagine what they could do in there if the show came from there.
- Ron is a great addition.
-Paul is funny as is Kath. But I think Andrew needs to be back in the studio...the banter is great and more of it between three people. They also need to engage with Ron and Magdalena more.

Great interview with Bilby conservationist Frank Manthey. Extended interview about his work that really fleshed out what it's all about, and some very sensitively handled personal questions as well. Not too light, not too heavy - perfect morning TV content.

Music is always a refreshing change from the usual, though Breakfast should be in the newsroom and the band should be in the basement studio!

Noticed that there is now credits list at the end of the show listing their sponsors/commercial agreements like Sunrise and Today have. Does this mean that they don't have any sponsors because of its ratings? I remember that before there was a sponsor logo shown during the weather segment but that is not longer shown anymore.

Doubt they have any sponsors when the sponsor billboard says...this program is brought to you by The Project -6pm Weeknight. How can another show from the same network sponsor another program. Rubbish if you ask me.

Ouch!! That's crazy! Where did this info come from though - I couldn't see it on their ratings page?? Maybe because they were too small???!

It's the show that's the problem. They would have been better off by being truly different, and absolutely clear about that difference. Be opinionated, be provocative, make some noise. Andrew Bolt or Greg Cary or Eddie McGuire or someone with an opinion!

Following a similar format (obviously more the 2nd half with the team at the desk) to The Late News would have been better, it has a feel that would suit the time of day better, plus a good on air team.
