V must have flopped or something, Seven beat Nine in significantly in primary channels? And still remained infront (just)even with 7TWOS comparatively piddly 2% to GO!s 4% share

V did 1,291,000? I think Nine will be satisfied with that, since there's so much competition on the night.
It'll probably drop down a third of it's audience by next week though, lol.

Hopefully Good Wife picks back up last night was a great episode. Took me a few weeks but I've started to really look forward to it every week now. Good Show.

V premiers well with 1.3 but I dont think it can sustain that even next week. Again it doesnt seem to hurt Ten or Seven in total people but demo wise it was Ten who took the biggest hit at 8:30 not winning a single demo. But they made up for that with TBYG which has taken the shine off Sevens former demo winning factuals although they are getting a good total people.

Nine need some miracles for Blitz and 60 Minutes as obviously the lead-out into V didnt help at all. Both shows seem very stale at the moment and Sunday Night/factuals have obviously played a big part in that.

Those are some very strong demo shares for the digital channels hovering close to 10%- should be an interesting year. But for Seven to be competitive in the demos they need to fix up the 7TWO Sunday schedule- Nine gets such a leg-up from GO! on Sundays that Seven need to counter that!

Good to see TBYG back on the rise again. Convincing win in 18-49 and second in TP. TGW down really low but might rise next week if V drops, which is looking likely.

V did very well in the demographics, and good wife and bones were storong against the increased competition, it should only get easier for them from now as V's audience drops away.

9's very weak 6:30-8:30 is going to cost them a lot of sunday wins this year.

the factuals, and TBYG seem to have made up some ground

Sunday night seems to be TEN night at our house. TBYG, Good Wife and House were all entertaining last night.

Avoided V because I suspect that Nine will treat it like Seven and TEN does other sci fi/fantasy shows like Stargate, Heroes, Torchwood, Battleship and relegate it to midnight or their second channels.

Very good debut for V but not much of an effect on Bones. The Good Wife was affected more by having more competition here. Castle is winning over House now at 9.30pm and Scrubs doing very well at 10.30pm too.

Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation is rising a bit but The Biggest Loser still in the doldrums. Sunday Night and the factuals are delivering for Seven and will probably rise as we go into winter.

Weekend Sunrise – Sun Seven 451,000 102,000 134,000 131,000 35,000 48,000
Weekend Today – Sunday Nine 229,000 68,000 53,000 62,000 18,000 29,000

Haven't seen figures that high for Sunrise for a while. It's killing the competition, more than doubling Today in Melbourne and Brisbane with strong wins in other markets.

Are Sunday nights going to become less of a mega-battle than we originally thought? 'V' starts off strong, but how long shall it be able to maintain an above 1mil figure? Both 'Bones' & 'Good Wife' hold up somewhat well, but far behind the invaders in the demographics. Seven might be pleased, but would TEN?

'Your Gen' gaining some ground against an older-skewing 7.30 hour, whilst the 6.30 hour looks somewhat bleak in total people, with only 'Sunday Night' holding it's ground in the TP stakes. 'Loser' has really lost the interest of viewers.

Quite a high and very competitive night of ratings.

Factuals very strong at over 1.4. V debuts strongly but I doubt it will sustain that - moving it to 9.30 with Underbelly at 8.30 would probably be the best option for Nine's Sundays and also V specifically.

Bones did very well against V. And Your Gen doing well as well.

People keep saying how badly 60 Minutes is doing. If that is the case then Sunday Night is also doing terribly. If 60M can stay above 1.0 and stay competitive on arguably the most competitive night of TV where the digital's get their highest shares then I'm sure Nine will be satisfied. Occasionally depending on stories 60 will do even better just not as often as it used to. I would do nothing about it an djust leave it comfortably in its slot.

The Good Wife up a bit, if it can sustain these figures then Ten will be satisfied I'm sure.

Top Gear and Big Bang doing very well on Go!.

ABC had a shocker night - and ABC usually has good ratings on Sundays. They need to rethink this line up.

If Weekday Today can beat Sunrise then Weekend Today should be able to beat Weekend Sunrise. The fact it cannot says something and Nine needs to seriously rethink Cam and Leila. While I like them both they are not for the job.

My Two :twocents:

6pm News Battle
1 Seven News – Sun Seven 1,471,000 336,000 503,000 326,000 123,000 183,000
4 Nine News Sunday / News Sun Nine 1,309,000 382,000 454,000 209,000 147,000 117,000

Overton takes Sydney with a healthy lead, although as I stated last week, Nine will win Sydney on sundays no matter what once NRL kicks off. Melbourne and a healthy win to Jen. Sharyn just proving why the pay her the big bucks. Adelaide NN does so well on weekends compared to weekdays? I dont get it? And nothing unusual in WA.

5pm - 6pm Ten
14 Ten News At Five Sun Ten 861,000 258,000 278,000 132,000 69,000 123,000
19 Sports Tonight Sun Ten 533,000 173,000 154,000 94,000 35,000 76,000

Make it an hour long buttetin - the retention rate is woeful out of the news.

Weekend Sunrise 451,000 102,000 134,000 131,000 35,000 48,000
Weekend Today 229,000 68,000 53,000 62,000 18,000 29,000

Sydney loving weekend sunrise with a healthy lead, Melbourne does a 360 degree compared to weekdays?? Brisbane again same thing. Adelaide and Perth same sort of ratings to weekdays.

If I recall correctly Nine wasn't winning 6pm in Sydney consistently last year, even with the NRL lead-in but that was with Mark Ferguson presenting. In Adelaide Georgina McGuinness is probably the best newsreader going around - she nearly always wins weekends and I bet they'd love it if she'd move to weeknights.

Anyway, here are some more ratings reports from last night, including demos:

I sound like a broken record - make Ten News Weekend air at 6pm - if that means 5.30-6.30 or just 6pm then do it. Nothing rates anywhere near as good as it does around that timeslot. It'd help lead-in to primetime better.
