Definitely a shoddy put together for that opener, it just seems rushed towards the end. Maybe they should move the voice-over bit to the beginning like they once did IIRC

I like the voice over at the end. And there is nothing wrong with the voice over in my opinion. The headlines are extremely rushed and the theme is all wrong. They should be using the first 10seconds of the theme under the voice over after the headlines.

I just think its a bit of a mouthful at the end of the the opener with the voice over the way it is

Central Queensland's new opener. Sorry for the quality, I'm unable to use my tv tuner at the moment.

That's even worse, the introduction stories just morph into one big mess.

That's just as shoddy and shocking.

New openers look good but they really need to edit the theme to suit them better. It just looks and sounds messy. Also, what's with the VO guy? Over the top much? haha

The Mackay opner V/O is ex-BTQ presenter, Mike Higgins who has been with 7QLD since day one of the Sunshine TV days 20 years ago. He also daoes the BTQ News opener too. Not too sure who the V/O guy for Rocky is?

Not on in latest video it ain't, and since the last relaunch. In some places it is again Mike Higgins though.

Why would they have different voice overs in different regions?

Ever region except for Rockhampton uses the same voice-over guy, Mike Higgins. I'm guessing he wasn't working with Seven when the Rocky bulletin was launched.

I've noticed over the past few weeks that SLN here in CQ no longer goes to a commercial break at 6.10, the news just goes straight through until the cross to sport.

Does anyone know how they produce these Qld local news bulletins - where and when? How do Rob Brough and Livio manage to appear on different stations at the same time, reading different bulletins - is at lease one of the bulletins live?

Seven Local News bulletins are produced from Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast. The Sunshine Coast bulletin is live at 6pm, the rest are recorded in the afternoon and aired at 6pm.

I don't know SA TV, Rockvegas may have a different opinion seeing as though he sees it every night, but I find the SLN presenters are much more relaxed and natural when they anchor compared to Paul Taylor and Dave Whatshisface on WIN who I think are a bit more wooden and cheesy (particularly Paul).
