If a commercial network is smart, they'll snap them up.

If any commercial network picks up Letters and Numbers, I think it'll be on Ten at 6pm. I can't see the program on Seven or Nine because L&N is too smart and sophisticated for "The Big Two" IMO.

Maybe they should shop it around to ABC. They could do with something decent at 6.30pm for instance as lead in to the news.

I personally think that it would be somewhat amusing to see Letters and Numbers on as a lead in to ABC News, knowing that the programs host, Richard Morecroft was once the presenter of ABC News NSW!

Wouldn't it need some technology if it moved to one of the big commercial networks?

Letters And Numbers is a Shine production wasn't it? Maybe they should shop it around to ABC. They could do with something decent at 6.30pm for instance as lead in to the news.

Letters and Numbers was initially a Shine production, but it is now produced in-house.

Shame it's been chopped. Can't say I watched it all that often but it was still a good little show to watch.

It's not really a very good show is it?

Er, yes, it's really a very good show, especially with Lily there.

A former contestant, Geoff Bailey, has started this website to try to save the show:

I really enjoyed playing along with the show. My family used to tease me about the notebook I kept in the TV room just for L&N but slowly, slowly, I caught them sneeking in to play along. I wish SBS would have rejigged the show (cut the chat with David Astile about the origins of words) and added extra games. If it had a faster pace, I think it would have been more successful.
