First time I have seen 9 do some split screen. Diving & Walking showing at the same time.

They have been doing it for a couple of days now on certain events.

Im really sick of certain peoples whinging and whining about these Olympics. Nine has one bloody channel to utilise, not 8, producers are obviously doing there best to show the masses the best stuff going at each time. Obviously they are going to miss some things, if you can't deal with that go and complain to Conroy or buy Foxtel people!

I agree to a certain point. It was always going to be difficult for Nine to cover these Olympics especially since we are now in age where everything is at your fingertips. However, they have made some big blunders even with their one channel coverage. Any commerical network in the future needs to have multiple channels to show the Olympics effectively.

According to Foxtel online guide, its multichannel coverage finishes at 4.30am AEST tomorrow (Monday). From that time all 8 Olympic channels will simultaneously replay the events from the final day of competition, starting with men's marathon. Foxtel's coverage officially ends with the hour-long highlights from the closing ceremony at 12.30am AEST Tuesday.

Rewind 4 years, I don't remember you defending Seven this way.

I will be waking up early to watch the first half of closing ceremony live, before going to work at 7.30am. I will have to watch the second half on replay.

This may be a bit late, but I reckon the standard graphics package that the Olympic Broadcasting Service is using is pretty bad. Even the ones they had in Beijing look better, I reckon. Terrible, amateur embossing (look at the bubbly WR/OR symbols), combined with an almost complete lack of colour variety as well as that silly italic font make the graphics look very third rate.

It has all been a big mess. The Olympics seemed great, but 9 has made them appear amateur.

It hasn't really improved at all since Sydney 2000, if anything its gone backwards.

They had two sets, a desk where the solo hosting was done from and soft lounge set for co-hosting and interviews.
