Derryn Hinch gives his opinion of Steve Price.

"Another time I would have liked to speak out was when Herald Sun columnist Steve Price suggested I didn't deserve a donated organ for liver cancer because of my past drinking. He conveniently omitted that cancerous tumours, rather than cirrhosis, had given me a death sentence. I guess what niggled me most about the column was the last paragraph. In a sanctimonious line, which he repeated on Channel 10's 7pm Project, Price said: 'Good luck, Derryn, and for God's sake keep off the grog.' That, aimed at an atheist who had stopped drinking five years earlier and had never had a .05 conviction. Unlike Price."

Not sure what to think of Derryn Hinch after what he did today - apparently breaching another suppression order.

He didn't name the man in any other state apart from Victoria, so he did not breach the suppression order, which was made in a NSW court. Online streaming of his program was taken down for the duration of the discussion, that portion is not on the podcast and no other media that may go interstate has reported on it. So legally he has done nothing wrong. The only thing that Needs to be questioned is his morals in naming a covicted peodafile should the convicted pedophile and in my option, he has done a good thing and his campaign on these outdated and ludicrous laws is 100% justified, and should continue until the problem is fixed.

Patrick George, senior partner at Kennedys law firm in Sydney said Mr Hinch had opened himself to contempt of court. ''He has effectively published the name by putting it on the blogsite, and if it's accessible in NSW, despite his disclaimer, the means of access that he's given people means that he's published it,'' Mr George said.

I understand the need for laws like this to protect victims of sexual crimes, but when it is used to protect the reputation and income of the offender, its sickening. This scumbag abused children, for his own pleasure, so why should his reputation be protected? In my opinion all Hinch has done is highlight how obsured these laws are.

Great that Hinch is giving it to the self-important George Pell, but Hinch is again pushing his luck by breaching another supression order.

Hinch has joined Facebook,

Two years ago I was a harsh critic of Twitter. Not interested. Didn't care what Shane Warne had for breakfast. Digital guru Ben Wise talked me into it. Now realise it's the biggest advance in media in my 50 years in the business. Likewise Facebook. Well, as of today, here I am. This is the only official Derryn Hinch/ HumanHeadline Facebook page. Welcome... and hope you share my road to where...?

Derryn Hinch is Jane Hutcheon's guest on the ABC's One Plus One this week:

Days before being sacked by 3AW this week, Derryn spoke candidly to ONE PLUS ONE about his 50 year journalism career in this exclusive television interview.

He reveals how he was molested as a child but did not pursue the perpetrator, why he is on a mission to change what he calls 'bad' laws and the lengths he will go to defend his beliefs.

He talks about his new life with a new liver and how he is grateful for the lease of life it's given him.

He says he hates the term shock-jock and he is not one. He is not a Kyle Sandilands, he insists.

This is an insight into a man who cannot compromise on speaking out when he feels there is injustice.

Hinch may be on leave from his 3AW program, but he will be appearing as a guest on Paul Murray's 2UE drive show this afternoon.

Hinch said on 2UE that his actions are the reason for the Victorian government changing the law so that the names of peadophiles will not generally be supressed as has been the case.

Paul Murray said he thinks that Hinch would be a good addition to 2UE, if it ever happened.
