Is News24 taking live coverage? I am watching US network 9News coverage, and it is being handled so well. 3am in the morning, continuous coverage.

Forget ABC NEws 24

Assume you mean KUSA - a lot of that is being shown on CNN here. Also Fox News and Sky News.
No - normal programming for ABC News 24! Just had a 30 minute sport program.
At the moment they just directed us to the ABC News website live blog, showed a 30 second clip and read out a blog entry from 7:50pm

Nine has reported that Lance Armstrong stating will not fight charges brought by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, meaning he will lose all titles he has won including the seven Tour de France titles. Other news agencies are saying Armstrong's titles are at risk.
Not fighting charges does not mean Armstrong is a drug cheat, it just means USADA is too powerful for Armstrong to fight alone, and he wants to move on with the rest of his life. I still consider him to be a cycling legend.

This is an interesting point (and something we had a discussion about at work) - the titles are being stripped without evidence (ie blood/urine testing - despite USADA saying the samples they have show 'signs' of doping) that he was doping.

Whether he was on the juice or not - to be the fastest bloke for seven years to ride 3000 odd kms in 3 weeks is a pretty big achievement

He's a drugs cheat. The story might be nice, but he's a juicer.

sadly i think this is going to lead to a controversy on how to release details in this situation. Port saying one of them has died but won't say which one. how is that supposed to make the families of the rest of the players feel?

i get that, i just don't get why they had to confirm it to the public at all until the family was made aware. seems so wrong on so many levels.
