30 Rock has been renewed for a sixth season.

NBC PICKS UP EMMY-WINNING COMEDY ’30 Rock’ FOR ANOTHER SEASON THROUGH 2011-12

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – November 15, 2010 – NBC has picked up its Emmy Award-winning comedy “30 Rock” (Thursdays, 10-10:30 p.m. ET) for another season through 2011-12, it was announced today by Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios.

We are happy to confirm the pickup of ’30 Rock’ for another season,” said Bromstad. “It continues to be a bold, hilarious, sophisticated comedy that has become a classic in its own time.”

The pickup comes as “30 Rock” also celebrates its 100th episode this season.

NCIS star Mark Harmon has signed a new two-year deal to continue on the hit crime series.
This news comes as the hit show has been renewed for a ninth season, the first CBS drama to get a pickup for next fall.
Deadline is reporting that Harmon’s new deal with NCIS will see him get paid around $500,000 per episode. Harmon will also become an executive producer of the show next season.
NCIS co-stars Sean Murray, Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette and David McCallum have also all closed new two-year contracts to continue on the hit series. Cote de Pablo is the only core NCIS cast member yet without a deal for next fall.
The veteran CBS drama has also just set a new series record of 22.9 million in the US, and continues to be number one scripted series.

Looks like (going off what is on futon critic) there are a number of uk-remakes in the pipeline for next year (fox has outnumbered, abc has identity - from what i can remember)

This means FOX just needs to find a comedy to pair with Raising Hope and they have enough content for their Fall schedule. bummer for ten if the one pick up is one of the Warner Bros pilots.

this also cast a dark shadow on Lie to Me, Human Target, and The Chicago Code. their only hope now is to be renewed for a half season to fill a slot in the midseason schedule. i'd say the only one that has a chance there is The Chicago Code.

NBC has cancelled The Paul Reiser Show after 2 episodes. the show was panned by critics and the most recent ep only rated 0.9.

last year the easter weekend was a good time for networks to deliver news about cancellations. so there might be some more in the next 24 hours with so many bad rating shows still not cancelled.

I didn't expect 'Chicago Code' to make it past this season but I would have thought FOX may have kept 'Breaking In' around. Quite a few pick up's from them though, two new dramas and two sitcoms in addition to 'X-Factor' and 'Terra Nova'. Hedging their bets?

I'd expect 'I Hate my Teenage Daughter' to land the plump post-'Glee' slot and 'The New Girl' to be held over until midseason. 'Alcatraz' will get a slot either post-'X-Factor' or 'House'.

one of the comedies will undoubtedly be paired with Raising Hope which is returning in the Fall. perhaps before RH because ratings have slipped since it was renewed.

it will be interesting to see if ten pick up The Finder (Bones spin-off) or if thats the one they let Foxtel get.

Whispers going around that NBC has also picked up 'Harry's Law' for a second season, 'Wonder Woman' for the fall skid and dropped 'L&O: LA'.

NBC has picked up Prime Suspect, and a Spielberg musical drama "Smash" with debra messing, and 2 sitcoms; Whitney with Whitney Cummings, and Up All Night with Christina Applegate. They are all Universal so should go to 7.
