I'm just calling it out because no doubt the same thing would have been said if a labor orientated/green orientated report program aired on TEN , it would incur the same exact opinion from anti-labour/green people. Just calling him out. :P So yeah, you don't like it - Don't watch it.

The mindset of the public is a mix of left, centre and right wing ideology so I think it's healthy for the media to reflect that.

Bolt gets 30 mins while The left wing Project gets 5 1/2 hours in primetime. Not fair.

Gina Rinehart on Bolt:

When asked about her role hiring the conservative News Limited columnist Andrew Bolt for a talk show on Channel 10, she said his program was "very popular in country areas".

"Unfortunately many country areas are unable to receive Channel 10."

Southern Cross Austereo will be pleased to hear this news from Gina. She obviously knows a lot about television!

Gina does not realise that The Bolt Report is repeated on Sunday afternoons on Southern Cross Ten in country areas.

God help us all if that woman gets any more control of any media organisation.

10 has never been shown in country WA on analogue.. it's only been shown very recently with the digital rollout so she was correct if talking about WA (where she lives)

I assume that's what she meant. It's a fair comment.

I assume that's what she meant. It's a fair comment.

So why is she investing in media interests that don't reach her target audience?

If she only wants to talk to regional Australia (or one or two states in particular) then don't buy a metropolitan network that doesn't talk directly to those markets and then cry foul that they don't reach the people she wants to talk to.

And analogue is a moot point anyway. It's soon going to be a non-issue.

Crikey did some analysis on Bolt and came up with 66,000 regional viewers. So it seems he isn't anywhere near as popular as football.
Would they be making money on Bolt when the football codes on 9 and 7 are ratings around 400-550,000 metro? The real worry for me is the effect these idiological decisions would have on Fairfax, there's already a right wing media organisation called News ltd that doesn't mind monkeying with the truth.

No mention of him. He barely rates but they don't cut that. They mess with their highest rating show....News at Five. Makes no sense.

They could video his 1 hour chat with Steve Price on 2GB each evening and replay it the next morning on Ten. Would be cheap content.

Official ratings return this week don't they? Beginning today? I came in from fishing to find Bolt still not on. This is the second week after Australia Day that Bolt has been a no show. As much as Gina loves Andrew, she doesn't love him that much to be convinced its economically viable for the show to be back yet? What is going with this dopey channel? This and MTP are the only 10 programs I watch and for good reason as this is the contempt and lack of budget they treat their audience with.

I read the show will be returning in March.

Probably returns on Bolt's terms rather then Tens id imagine. Bit odd that their two Sunday Morning political shows haven't started back at the same time.
