Sounds like someones back-tracking to not seem like as much as a dick.
Albeit, he has appeared in many SBS productions before that so not surprised if someone in the know just asked him to appear.

The series format has been sold to 9 overseas countries, with the Danish version starting this week.

I haven't heard anything about another series being made this year.SBS is yet to confirm a third season of the show.
