Ads tonight say that 'all 16 artists will perform live in one jam-packed, blockbuster night'. Guess the judges won't be making any comments and very minimal backstory will be shown because that is usually what takes up the time. The ads also show another twist where the judges take one person straight through to the next round, is this an Australian exclusive or has it been done in other places.

Personally I feel that there are too many extra components this year considering there has only been one successful season before, could that be why the ratings are down this year, breaking the trend of big reality shows doing better in their second year?

Love the fact that they already know that the live show will run over by 11 minutes according to the EPG.

9.26pm and they are only just starting on the fourth group of contestants. Looks like it will be lucky to finish before 10pm, far too late on a school night. Will the long running time be good for ratings, or drive people away. At least it will make Major Crimes look good on paper (which is what it deserves - I love Captain Raydor).
