The joke will soon be on viewers Australia wide.

Why should regional viewers be the only ones to have to suffer through advertorials for the Aire Bra, Brainetics and H2O Mop?

A third channel for Seven has been on the cards for some time. Never thought it would be TVPoor.

NewsWeary, is this tragic news you had about Bert Newton, that he will be on this new channel?

Sounds to me like a rebadged Television 4. Metro viewers will finally be able to watch this riveting channel!

guessing this will start a suite of super low bitrate advertorial channels infesting digital.
*shudder* if they can get away with it, why not I guess.

Any source for that at all? Forgive me for not believing you until you at least respond to comments asking what your supposed "sad news about Bert Newton" was.

Well he could be wrong this time. It just doesn't sound believable to me. Not without little more info.

I don't see what's not believable about it. If Seven think they can make a little extra money running rubbish like this, I am sure they will.

It's absolutely ridiculous that under the current regulations, none of the commercial networks could create another channel with worthwhile content and a limited amount of advertising, but they can broadcast another channel consisting of advertising and nothing else. What a waste of spectrum.

If Seven does indeed go ahead with this, I'll be interested to see what Nine and Ten will do.

The source is NewsWeary. He has been very reliable in the past and 99% of the time is spot on with the info he does release. Perhaps he was given incorrect information regarding the Bert Newton thing?

If this is true, get ready to use the delete/skip functions on your Digital TV's/STB's/PVR's/DVDR's/HDD's/USB Tuners for PC's/Whatever. From what I've seen being in a Prime7 area recently, I can't say I'm dissapointed that TV4Idiots isn't available in the Capital Cities/Regional Queensland...yet. From what I've seen all that's been shown are either Informercials, Psychic TV or programs laden with product placement (Corona Surfari anyone?) This is even worse than the old "Channel NSW" or "Channel 4 VPG" that use to be on D44 in Sydney, At least that had some nice music!
