Considering it's nothing but a clip show, those ratings for Got Talent are very, very strong. Easy winner on the timeslot over its rivals.
X Factor does well without reality competition. Weird to see the results perform so strongly when Idol used to flop with the same program.

Ten need to lay off Modern Family and just run it in one slot from February. They've completely stuffed it up. With ABC achieving series high ratings in the US at the moment, it should be easily over the million mark here. One of many programming fails by Ten.

The Project seems to have gone...

Ten put a show that was much better than Today Tonight and A Current Affair on at 6.30pm at the beginning of the year - it failed - ratings wise only!
Ten replace that show with another alternative. Genuinely interesting stories, humour and discussion along with serious discussion too. Failing!

What is with the country and not realising what is better. I'm sure if these shows were on Nine or Seven they would be rating the same as what TT and ACA are now. It is just such a shame that the network image just destroys decent shows on Ten. Modern Family is dead, MasterChef is getting bloody close, Ten News are far more informative than Seven News and Nine News, Rush is a bloody good show. It is the network, it needs a massive change - looks, schedule revamp (only if once done it STAYS that way) and new management. Ten should be using the upcoming Summer period for this. And for all we know - they could well be doing just that. There was a rumour about a new look Ten logo wasn't there?

ACA has been in a hole for a while now anyway, not sure Project is really creating that end result.

I can't remember ACA getting in the low 800s on a Tuesday.

see this post by kevizz in the program thread for more on this.
Mumbrella story post

and a quote from Mumbrella referring to the previous week's ratings

The most dramatic improvement for Ten came in the 16-39 age demographic, with its share of the commercial TV audience improving from 11.9% to 17.9%. In real terms this represented an audience increase of 53% – up from an average of 86,000 16 to 39-year-old viewers to 132,000.
The jump was mainly at the expense of Nine’s A Current Affair which hurt the most in the 18-49 demographic where it lost 12.6% of that demo.

This is comparing last week's ratings to the month before. You might expect a daylight saving effect that would influence all programs in the raw figures but this is referring to rating share of the viewing audience so that would not be a factor.

Massive ratings for X Factor. The Australia's Got Talent clip show is way down on Packed to teh rafters but doing alright regarding not losing audience to the commercial network competitors. Ratings way down on Parenthood though with Rafters lead-in.

Big ratings for Celebrity Apprentiace now beating Home & Away but then ratings drop off to shocking ratings for 2.5 men and Mike & Molly.

Ten are just mad for running new eps of Modern Family against The Big Bang Theory. This should have been a night for their factuals leading into NCIS.

Blackouts in Sydney last night may have affected ratings. We had no power from 5.30pm to 8pm.

Parenthood went for 2 hrs last night, with Seven throwing in a last minute bonus new episode, this probably accounted for it's lower than usual rating. Maybe Seven didn't code the two episodes separately.

-X Factor receives its highest rating since the auditions. A lot of people are wondering why the results show is rating better than the performance show and I think it's just plain simple. On Monday, there's competition (Celebrity Apprentice and Big Bang Theory). I think it's also down to the fact that live shows have just worked better on Tuesdays (Australia's Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars and It Takes Two). The Susan Boyle performance would also have pulled in a few more viewers. At this point, I think the show's finale could be big and it's still possible that the Winner Announced could pull in 2 million viewers.

-Today Tonight and A Current Affair are separated by almost 400,000 viewers.

-Australia's Got Amazing Talent wins its timeslot again. People really seem to be enjoying the look back over the years. It's amazing that this clip show is doing better than a new episode of NCIS.

-Is this the first Celebrity Apprentice elimination episode that has rated over 1 million? If I'm not mistaken, more people are tuning into the show. Tonight's 90 minute special could be very interesting and rate quite well.

-Big Bang Theory repeats do okay but Nine shouldn't be wasting them. Leave the repeats for GO!.

-17 of the Top 20 multichannel shows were on ABC2. Primetime schedule on the multichannels must have pretty ordinary last night.

Those figures for ACA in Brisbane are just as tragic. The fact TT comes back and beats ACA in Sydney is also interesting, considering Nine News is flogging Seven News in that market.

For me personally I just refuse to watch it cause Charlie and Hughsey annoy me.. If they changed the panel I would watch it...

I usually will switch between TT and ACA purely for the fact some stories provide a bit of a laugh on how stupid they are. It is easy to watch TV that I can have on in the background while doing other stuff that i do at 6:30 like cleaning up after dinner and feeding the Dog...

Would have something to do with the fact that TT is Local in Adelaide and Perth... on Nine they are watching the East Coast Version of ACA.
I think WIN did try a local version of ACA in Adelaide and Perth but it didn't work.

At the end of the day... Win doesn’t have the money or the resources to invest in local editions and If Nine owned the Adelaide/Perth station, its more than likely we would see more money invested into local ACA editions.

It's also interesting that ACA is losing in Melbourne, where it nearly always had the better of TT .
