I forgot Happy Ending was on last night. Looks like the rest of Australia did too. Good one, Seven. Another mishandled launch.

Great results for Recruits, shame it started performing once ratings was over. It's a good factual and I hope TEN keep the Recruits brand going I've enjoyed all the series. Don't care for Jonses though
One and Eleven have been delivering strong figures this week, Eleven in particular.
Getaway still doing dismal numbers - I think it still has a life left in it; would make good, cheap, original Australian content for GEM.

Obviously Peter Overton or whoever it was this week needs to be fired immediately. Hasn't worked. at. all.

Low figures for second last episode of The Amazing Race 19 again, reflecting its season-low ratings in the US on Sunday.

Peter Overton has been reading Nine News Sydney all this week. While over on Seven, Mark Ferguson continues to fill in while Chris Bath has her Xmas/New Year Holidays. I don't think Peter Overton will get the sack anytime soon. This year Nine News Sydney (and I daresay the network itself) has won its first year against Seven News Sydney in seven years.

Jen Keytes got a hold over Tony Jones in Melbourne.

News24 appears to have increased its audience by over 50% since I last had a good look. Sitting at 1.2%, it used to be 0.7% or 0.8%.

So Peter Overton and Mark Ferguson are both reading the Seven News now. No wonder ratings improved.

I'm sick of all the silly comments about the fate of news programs or presenters based on momentary changes in the ratings. Just sack them all and we can all get some peace.

One - 4.3% (%)
SBS One - 4.4%

Poor SBS. I can't understand their on screen presentation with the huge 'ONE' and very small SBS logo.
You might think they were directing viewers to the channel that does have 1 as its LCN looking at last night's ratings.
The promos for shows I've seen say "... Sunday 7.30" with just an on screen ONE and no voice over "...on SBS One".

I'll put an example in the SBS thread.

It makes very little sense to me either, that they put the emphasis on ONE. The TWO is also not much different to 7TWO.

Both SBS and the ABC have two of the the most recognisable logos in Australia, yet they put the emphasis on the ONE or 1,
TWO or 2. Their logos should be big and the channel numbers.

It might be that their ratings have remained steady, but their share of the market has increased because audiences are down across the board.

Oooh! Can I try?

*ahem*

The Project's powerhouse performance in the Channel Seven-dominated Perth market was evident, with the show attracting a whopping four thousand more viewers than in the Adelaide market. This equates to additional advertising income to the tune of a copy of yesterday's Telegraph for the news department and a DVD copy of The Devil Wears Prada to replace the copy that disintegrated from overuse.
