Hasn't set the ratings world on fire for either W on Foxtel or NBC in the US, but it's a great series. Stronger than most drama's on broadcast TV at the moment and has a noticeable level of polish missing from Glee. Personally find it more interesting than other new dramas this season (can't say Once Upon has captured me).
Started off slowly and still has some storyline issues - adoption, ex-flame back and an annoying assistant - but its got a lot of potential.
Anyone else been watching? Opinions?

I really like the cast. Debra Messing is great as is Anjelica Houston. Katherine McPhee is well cast.
I'm unsure about Megan Hilty as Marilyn though but I'm sure the twist and turns of who gets the role over time will grow the story.

Been patchy at stages, but it has a lot of promise. Will be interesting to see how the second half of season one pans out.

Smash will have its free-to-air premiere on Seven next Tuesday (August 28) after Winners & Losers.

thats a shame,I liked that show. I wonder if Seven will show the second and final season later on this year?The series has been Axed after only two seasons.

Looks like Australia will get the next weeks episode of Smash before it airs in the US on May 26. Guess they don't care about pirating because there are only two episodes left.
ETA: I was going by the EPG about Smash next week, but an ad during the show said Smash is on hiatus next week but returns at 7.35 on May 22nd (Maybe that is meant to be May 29?)
