Brilliant! More home shopping channels are just what we don't need. Time for the big question: Are WIN and NBN going to carry the channel? If not, there's something to look forward to next time I'm in either WIN-land or NBN-land.Just saw a promo on 9 for Extra on channel 94 another home shopping channel.

The gullible, the "shopaholics", and bogans.Who buys this shit?
Because they make a $#!Tload of cash for the networks. While I'm here, the placeholder (that's playing funky music in the background, possibly a music bed that's going to be used?):How can all these home shopping programs be viable?

I couldn't agree with you more. If anyone at ACMA is reading this, can you tighten up the datacast laws? Please? An utter waste of space, here's hoping they're banned from FTA.

i got mesmerized by an ad for a Steam Mop... it was late at night (that's my excuse)... they made plenty of shouting about "30 day trials for $19.00" but at no point in the whole ad actually told you what the full price was if you decide to keep it. I would have thought that is a breach of whatever consumer regulation because it more or less implied the unit was $19.00 there was no other dollar amount given, but maybe that's just me.Who buys this shit? How can all these home shopping programs be viable?

More mainstream-like advertiser supported programs are creeping into primetime on 4ME, and their not all that bad. But look at the EPG for Extra next week and all you see is the same old infomercials 24/7, what 4ME has outside of primetime and what all the channels show overnight. Seven has at least made some attempt to have some watchable programs. Nine isn't trying at all - it's 100% crap.
I’ve also picked up on this… Some of the shows on 4ME are watchable during primetime. The travel and fitness Programs seem to suck people in.

Cue lower quality picture on remaining channels including Olympics HD.

Nine in Sydney, Melboune, Brisbane and NBN (not sure about Darwin) will be picking up EXTRA.
WIN (not sure about Nine Adelaide/Perth) will not be picking up EXTRA...yet! For once, regional viewers should be glad that they have to wait to get a multichannel.
Currently uploading the full loop playing on the channel to YouTube so those who can't see the channel get a good idea of what it's like. I'm tipping that the On-Air Presentation will be the best thing on the channel.
