WIN have their datacasting licences.

http://www.acma.gov....001/pc=PC_90043

Off-topic, but the most recently issued datacast licence was to Interactive Media Pty. Ltd., who produce the GEM, 4ME and Aurora program Psychic TV. Seems another datacast channel may be coming ... but with who?

I really hope that we're not about to get Psychic TV 24/7 via Ten or SCA.

I reckon the next network to broadcast an datacast channel will either be Network Ten or Southern Cross Austereo.

well who else is there? NBN, WIN, Prime, Seven and Nine are accounted for. The only other one could be Imparja but I can't see that happening.

Ten and SCA are the only two major commercial networks that I can see broadcasting a datacast channel in the near future. I also don't think Imparja will dip its toes into the datacasting world.

The ABC and SBS have datacast licences, but I can't see them being used for obvious reasons. I'm pretty sure that a broadcast licence can have more than 1 datacast channel, Broadcast Australia ran a whole multiplex of datacast services (although they were run by different companies) during the days of the old D44 trial here in Sydney, although correct me if I'm wrong.

GOLD pretty much died, an ad for the Crawfords DVDs is all pixellated and it's just going back and forth between 2 static frames

And not allowed under the broadcasting act :) . Commercial stations can only have 1 HD and 2 SD digital channels. The extra datacasting channel can't have any conventional programs.

Once the anolouge signal has been turned off around Australia will there be more digital channels as I'd like to all the HD channels back such as Prime, Win & Ten Mildura HD.

What is the schedule like on Gold? Just solid advertorials, or is there any actual programming like 4ME?

Its hard to know without watching Moe.

The EPG consists of a single program from 6am-6am named "Infomercials".

From what ive seen, its completely home shopping.

From what I have seen I have to say just infomercials and maybe just a little bit of that fishing show and alive and cooking.

I'm certain we have many members watching to document the schedule.
