Fairly big names as coaches. They must be spending a bit on this.

Yes,with good on air talent its sounds promising.

Another dance show? How creative. How novel. At least the singing shows allow the morons at home to sing along. I for one can't see this flying .. or even hovering. And it's another 10 show that will skew young female gay. The failure of AGT must loom large in David Mott's mind as he tries to get a conceded pass for the second half of 2012 after 6 months of abject failure. If 10's schedule were a horse you'd shoot it, it's that lame.

Well, you have an alternative in 9 which skews old male and very blokey.

Are you trying to crack onto me?

I wouldn't bother watching this show. In fact I don't watch any talent shows now and not many reality shows either so a lot of television is a wasteland to me these days.

I skew somewhere between Game of Thrones, Happy Endings and Offspring, but have to timeshift most shows that I like.

Two new 10-second promos aired tonight, one featuring Kelly Rowland only, the other featuring Kelly vs Jason Derulo.

Ten's promos are getting better and better.

A new amazing promo for Everybody Dance Now. Doesn't look anything like So You Think You Can Dance.

I must say that the promo is good. The promos for all their coming shows are quite good. Shame they can't promote their existing shows very well.

It'll be interesting to see how this will do. Has information about the format been released yet? What exactly are Jason and Kelly's roles? It's sounding like The X Factor, only dancing.

I don't like the name but the promo is exciting! Also not my type of show but I can see this being of appeal to Tens audience.
It feels like a return to event TV something Ten has been lacking lately

From: http://ten.com.au/ev...cenow-about.htm

When the show kicks off, 88 solo and group dance acts will be divided into two teams of 44, with each troupe led by Dance Masters Kelly Rowland and Jason Derulo. In each episode, the teams will face a studio audience to do battle in a colosseum-style dance duel.

With a prize pool of more than $450,000 up for grabs, the Everybody Dance Now contestants will be hungry to bop their way to the top spot! During the heats phase 8 acts will perform in each episode for the chance to win $10,000 and secure a place in the finals to compete for the ultimate cash prize of $250,000.

Pretty much spot on there.

The choice of names in Everybody Dance Now and I Will Survive definitely gave me the impression that Ten seemed to cough up the formats at the last minute and just went with two song titles from well known songs. At least this promo gives off more of a vibe that the format is somewhat original.

Except where it features Stephen Tannos from Season 2 of SYTYCD.

Are any of Ten's new reality shows original concepts or all borrowed from elsewhere?

A discussion more appropriate for the Network Ten 2012 thread, but so long as they're new to the Australian market why would it matter?

Herald Sun says today that Jason Derulo and Kelly Rowland have returned to the US after pre-recording workshops for their dance groups, but will return to Melbourne next month when the series is launched.

There are promos showing some of the auditions. looks very cheap. they've blown the budget on kelly rowland and the main promo. with all the other talent shows having huge production values for their auditions, i don't think australia will buy it.

of ten's new shows i think this is the most likely to flop.

They are auditions! They're not supposed to look expensive. Wait until you've actually seen the first episode before you decide how the show looks. The auditions are only going to be featured on the show in flashbacks...the first episode is the beginning of the competition and I've heard it's going to be a huge production.

Why do people always want to bring something down before it has even gone to air?

and where is that law written? you could argue The Auditions are supposed to look the most expensive, all these shows; Idol, X, Voice, AGT, SYTYCD have had high interest in the auditions, then interest and ratings wane once the real competition starts.

The auditions are only going to be featured on the show in flashbacks...the first episode is the beginning of the competition

promo would have fooled me, it made a big deal of their auditions.

Wait until you've actually seen the first episode before you decide how the show looks.

why? the promo is all the rest of australia has to judge what the show looks like. if they are going to make it look cheap in the promo i am going to judge it as cheap.
