Yeah, by extending BH&G, Seven have killed off Greys, Desperate and Private Practice. I mean can't they see that these shows used to rate much better when BH&G was an hour long. Don't they see that these shows are always in the top 3 recorded shows on Thursdays, that should give them a hint. BH&G is also not doing that well on Thursday with it falling below 500k for the first time. Why don't they just revert BH&G to an hour?, I am sure it's easy enough.

I am confused...what difference does BH&G starting/finish time on Friday nite have to do with how other shows rate on Thursday nite????? hang on, I have just rechecked the stats- do other states have BH&G on Thursday nite, every week, or is this one off???

This is because it means in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth BHG is shown for 1 1/2 hrs on Thursdays pushing Grey's and the rest of the Thursday schedule back to 9pm. The past couple of weeks Seven has put Medical Emergency at 8:30pm to compensate this in the Syd/Brs market meaning it also starts around 9pm. I hate it. I would prefer Grey's back at 8:30pm.

This is not quite correct. Melbourne is the only market on a THURSDAY night that airs Grey's at 9pm - the same time as Sydney and Brisbane. Adelaide and Perth have a Home and Away double on Thursdays at 7pm, followed by BHAG at 8pm and then Grey's does not start until 9:30pm and Desperate Housewives at 10:30pm.

So with Melbourne taking a decline in ratings due to the US soaps being in competition with The Footy Show and the fact that Adelaide and Perth would pull down the national figure shows the decreasing number for the US soaps.

It has been a good rater for most of its run. Only really the last season that didn't do particularly good.

And as for Celebrity Apprentice, there's no guarantee it'll return. They just commission a new season early for the good publicity since it hasn't bombed. They can wiggle their way out if they decide to go in a different direction. We'll have a much better indication with what's in for 2013 by Summer. Not the first time we've seen it happen and probably not the last either.

They shouldn't rush it next time. Hopefully they will wait a full year.

I thought it was too soon since the first season of CA, but everyone seemed to think it was fine that it returned only five months or so after the first season.

I'm guessing you don't follow AFL... Friday night footy being delayed because of BH&G has been a sticking point for years. Finally its live this year (apart from Perth where the delay is reduced from 3 hrs down to 90 mins)
