7.30 instead of 9.30 is an improvement on previous years for fans, though it will not be a ratings improvement!

Seven will probably do alright on Wednesday night, because 9 in Adelaide and Perth have been stupid enough to schedule the SOO for 7.30pm this year.
Should attract a few thousand viewers in those cities if they are lucky!

I read recently that Nine (and WIN) would show SOO in WA at 7.30pm for the benefit of rugby league fans who are working in mining towns around the state.

LOL if that is the reason that is a joke! Must be a community service/reduce expected backlash decision, as it's a shot into their own foot.

Nine missed the biggest opportunity of the year by not showing The Voice on Sunday. They could have destroyed Dancing With The Stars and Masterchef.

Definitely would have destroyed Masterchef on Sunday. Masterchef has a free reign on Sunday with no demo competition. Nine should consider swapping 60 Minutes with The Block.

The Voice and Tricky Business were revised down to 1.934 million and 0.906 million respectively in end-of-week figures.

Wow - quite a jumo there for Revenge.

What is the word on how these +7 viewing figures are affecting the weekly shares or the gap between 1st and 2nd on any given night because some of the gains are quite substantial?

the only time i've seen such figures was the first week back after easter, 7 clawed back 1.4%, but that was a week 9 originally won by 5%. last week 9 only won by 2% originally and 7 has more timeshift-friendly content like downton, OUAT, bones finale. probably won't be enough to win but should make it very close.
