Just heard Peter Ford on 4BC tell Peter and Claire that Monday's front cover of New Idea will reveal Bec is 3 months pregnant.

Doing the Maths, it means the did the deed (cover your eyes AustTV), in February.

So they met in December, got engaged in January, and fell pregnant in February.

They certainly don't mess around... :smirk:

Actually, in one sense, they obviously do mess around.

I wonder if Bec is going to take Lleyton's last name... I think not, as Bec Hewitt doesn't sound right!

So the question then is what name will the baby take...?

Hewitt? Cartwright? Hewitt-Cartwright? Hewright? Cartitt?

I like the last one. Cart It! It is good.

Or Car Titt? :o :P :smirk:

The last name would depend on what they agree on. I think it could take on the Hewitt-Cartwright name.

I think this stems from another thread where they were having an argument. It doesnt make it right though. Anyway back on the issue in hand, that was bloody fast. They havent even got married yet, am i the only one that thinks this a marriage doomed to fail.

i think she'll leave her name as Bec Cartwright, or Bec Cartwright-Hewitt... until they divorce in 2006. :o the baby.. probably Hewitt :smirk:

Bec Hewitt sounds too much like Ben Hewitt from The Big Arvo (Which ended today AGAIN). :grumpy:

EDIT: Personal attack on Ms Cartwright removed... NewsWorld

HOME and Away star Bec Cartwright and her tennis champion fiance Lleyton Hewitt are expecting a baby.

Sources close to the star couple say the 21-year-old actress is three months' pregnant and that an official announcement will be made soon.
"I'm having a baby," New Idea magazine's cover on Monday will say, as it carries an interview with the couple.

The celebrity duo became engaged in late January, only six weeks after they began dating and on the night of Hewitt's loss in the final of the Australian Open.

They made their first major public appearance together at the TV Week Logies awards in Melbourne last Sunday night, when Cartwright picked up her first Logie, for most popular actress.

A happy-looking Cartwright wore a long, colourful backless dress as she and Hewitt embraced on the way into the awards ceremony.

Cartwright's character on Seven's Home and Away, Hayley, is also pregnant.

She and Hewitt met five years ago at a Starlight Foundation charity tennis day but only became close late last year after Hewitt's split with Belgian tennis star Kim Clijsters.

They have yet to set a date for their wedding.

"Within the next couple of years I think," Hewitt, 23, said earlier this year, when asked about the impending nuptials.

Cartwright said despite criticism of her becoming engaged so soon, she knew it was right.

"What feels right to you, you don't second guess yourself," she said earlier this year.

"For us, it just felt so awesome right from the start."

The news caps off a big year for Cartwright, who has bought a house with Hewitt on Sydney's northern beaches since becoming engaged.

As well as winning a Logie last weekend, the blonde soapie star was nominated for the gold Logie for most popular TV personality.

She also won last year's season of Dancing With the Stars, donating her money from the show to the AIDS Trust of Australia and announcing plans to build an orphanage with Hewitt in Cambodia.

Besides this she recently topped FHM's poll to select the 100 Sexiest Women of 2005.

Hewitt recently filmed a cameo role for Home and Away, which will be screened in June.

and if it's a girl, little bec.

What if they have twins... a little girl on Home and Away, and a little boy to follow in his father's footsteps.

If Bec Cartwright got pregnant 7 years ago (When she was still on H&A)... she wouldn't be on the cover of New Idea for it, and nobody would care (Well.. nobody really cares now do they? :smirk: )

How old is she now? 19, 20?
If she got pregnant 7 years she'd most certainly have received some sort of media attention... and so would the father.

Well thanks for giving me due credit on this story-doesn't happen too often. It was a nice one to break but I suspect I'll be off the New Idea/TT christmas card list.
Peter Ford.
