because she is more well-known in the townsville area than rob brough and since the news is recorded on the sunshine coast i guess they think that with a person from townsville co-hosting thatll pull sum viewers.

I believe Jo co-hosts both the Townsville and Cairns Seven QLD Local News.

Jo is a very familiar face in Nth Qld due to her co-hosting the Ten (and prior to ten, QTV) & Seven Central (Mt Isa and surrounds via satellite) Local news for many, many years before Southern Cross tore the heart out of the Ten QLD operations - based in T'ville.

Some other recognisable names that come to mind... and came from or have worked for NQTV, QTV, Ten QLD over the years:

Adam Boland
Ken Sutcliff
Leith Mainifold
Sharyn Ghidella
Chris Hill
Dana Sanders
Georgina Lewis
Kim Skubris
Bruce Paige

When you think of it... so few have moved on from QLD...
