This thread seems the most appropriate...

http://abc.net.au/rage/

The rage page has been redesigned. I like how you can go directly to the playlist link from the front page now, with the full list of new releases on the front page. Very convenient.
Ooh, wow! Looks great.

I was looking for something there the other week (pre-relaunch) and thought it looked a bit..spartan..

It looks good!

RAGE has gone a long time without a refresh.

It seems to be one of those ahows taht tend to be forgotten about. Despite the fact that it must be one of the ABC's longest running and still on air shows.

RRAAAAAAAAA-AGE!

I'm still having problems downloading Chaser episodes. If I click on the WMV link it goes to an error page, if I right click the dialog box comes up but it doesn't actually end up saving it.

Is anybody else still having problems with this?

That's interesting. It's one of their promos for the website.

Maybe they are going to introduce more variety in the homepage banner in the future? Remember when they used to have ABC personalities featured in the homepage banner? I remember Philip Adams, Julie McCrossin and Adam and Wil. The problem was that it was limited - there were not many more than those 3, so it got a little tedious after a while.

------

Last night on LATELINE, Tony had Antony Green on , the ABC's election analyst, who previewed the new ABC federal election website.

It was designed by the same people who did the new ABC News Online...and TOny said it was going live TODAY...

...yet so far no sign of it...

Yes well for those with less innocent minds it bears a striking resemblance to something else!

Evidently they're going by Krudd's election timetable.

Or not.. Sounds great though, I'll have to have a look around and see if I can find the video.

You can see the video here:
http://www.abc.com.au/news/video/2007/09/17/2035853.htm

..and just looking at that it seems that it's an ABC.com.au link - wonder what's happening there?

The ABC has launched its new election website...a couple of days late wink.gif

It is here: http://www.abc.net.au/elections/federal/2007/

It looks FANTASTIC! Very complrehensive, and I have had a few fun goes at the swingometer.

ABC online has a new section, called 'Unleashed' where they have commentators form outside the ABC commenting on the election.

The way they promote it, it would appear as though it existed before the election...but I have NEVER seen it before, so maybe not.

...as for their opinions...it is a little biased to the right, imo.

I am getting a little concerned about the 'opinion' dominance of the news...it is a bad US import.

ABC Local will launch new sites on Wednesday March 12. Over the next 24 hours you may notice some slight changes to the current sites as we prepare for the rebuild.
Thank you for your patience

As taken from the ABC Canberra site.

EDIT: abc.net.au/local is alive. http://theabcblog.wordpress.com/ has some info on ABC online changes.

Just saw the Hobart one, not really a fan at the moment. Who chose the colours? They've also launched the new webcam which they've been talking about as coming for a few days now. Anybody else got a new webcam or anything?

I don't think we'd really want to see a webcam in the Muswellbrook studio...it's only in operation for 3 hours a day. silly.gif

I like the improved RSS feed for the Upper Hunter - with just Upper Hunter stories, no Newcastle stories. (http://www.abc.net.a...http://www.abc.net.au/news/indexes/upperhunter/rss.xml)

The colours aren't too bad to me. They aren't flickering in my eyes.

Another screencap - this time of the main site (for the region, not the radio station).

Yes, it's the Upper Hunter webpage. I'm incredibly biased. silly.gif

Oh - and the ABC needs to fix the titles of their RSS feeds. The Upper Hunter feed is called ABC News: Broken Hill. silly.gif

It's a bit rough around the edges, a lot of things seem to redirect straight to wwwdev.abc.net.au/local, there are a lot of error messages, and for some reason Melbourne is getting Perth's news headlines.
