I know Nine has started but I REALLY hope that someone doesn't follow The CW watermark - it covered faces half the time.

They already use their PRGs to ram shows down our throats, I'm sure they are working on that.

I think the brightness of the new ABC 1 logo needs to be turned down. The '1' and the 'curve' are hjust way too bright. I also don't like the colour in the watermark. Maybe it should appear on screen in blue at the beginning of the show and then disappear, so we only see 'ABC 1' and the 'curve' throughout the program.

NBC started this with American Gladiators, who copied it off basic cable channels.

10 here are cross promoting what's on 10 when watching 10HD.

It's only a matter of time until they all do it, and everyone will stop watching.

I'm getting used to it.

I'd like to see the ABC2 bug in the same place as the ABC1 bug

I saw the start of the Netball today on Channel 2 and noticed that the scoreboard was covered by the blue logo - you would think that someone would have thought of that before going to air and at least did a sports thing and put it at the top right..

No chance. as it is corporate policy that all ABC branding has both the letters 'ABC' and the worm logo.

I can understand that and decided to have a shot complete with the colour, both logos but instead used the horizontal orientation as seen on their website. Surely this would be more appealing to all involved...

Australian Story is on ABC2 right now and has only the old ABC watermark, take a look, it will make you hate the new ones even more.

Not for long, being worked upon, should be 'buggerised' sometime next week

It will not ever go near the 16:9 area, and will always be in the 4:3 safe area until analogue is switched off.
That flattened logo looks very similar to something that was being worked upon in the early days of the new logo, very similar.
This is all early days for the new logo look, expect things to evolve over time.

Impossible, as ABC HD is a single national stream which originates in Sydney.
If you are seeing the new logo/bug/watermark, you are watching SD.

If i recall they had that flatten look around Easter in 2005 for a few months, until it went 3d again. Is that correct ?
