Why can't WIN get a live watermark remover? I've seen watermark removal tools before for VirtualDub, so why can't WIN get a live one?

It wasn't there for almost the entire HD broadcast on Friday.. they seem to time it perfectly some days, and don't others.
The Youtube clip I've uploaded below shows how much of a waste of time this shitmark is, as it goes off for the ident (Ident with all its dotty glory), then comes back when it goes back.
I really hope someone with a Plasma TV here in Perth leaves the 9 HD broadcast on for a few hours, and sees a nice, big fat, fugly watermark left over on their screen, burnt in? Why? The shitmark graphic is completely un-necessary to be shown, their is no purpose for it.

So ... it's been over a week. Clearly it's no longer a "technical" problem, 9 Perth know exactly what they are doing, and simply don't care.

I guess it means that I will no longer watch 9, WIN or WIN companies like SelecTV. If by some incredible miracle I want to watch a 9 program, I'll grab it off BT.

Dude they can barely put graphics up in a consistent font, what makes you think they'll be able to remove the bug?

Dunno...I thought that paid workers could at least try to get it better. Now I realise due to your comment that they are slackers who don't give a **** about consistency with their originally produced programs and the whole nine network.

I doubt their managers would let them do anything that would help provide a better viewing experience.

Maybe it's a plot to drive up SelecTV subs ... wink.gif

I think you'll find that STW do know what they are doing and unfortunately it as the behest of their big chief cohuna, (he of the eunuch complex as stated earlier in this thread) - whether they agreee with it or not is another thing entirely.

I think that all the capital city stations which use the 9 name and show their programming should have the one identity to help unify the audience that this is the same station they are watching program wise no matter which city they are in.

Why do the HD watermarks have to be so bright?
I totally agree with those that have said that the 9HD watermark is atrocious but i'm also annoyed by the placement of the tenHD watermark.
It's so annoying having it in the top left corner, especially when title bar with the program name and details fills the top of the screen and blocks out people's faces.

It's been the Olympic rings watermark here in Melbourne for the past week.

Yes that what i thought it would be but it's turned out being that it wasn't anything at all.

They need to grey scale it and 0erhaps even have a solid background to cover the other mark. What is the point of a cover-up stain if you can see what is below it?

Guess a few people finally called and complained to them, hehe.
I'm satisfied with that if the directions are coming straight from WIN as I think they would be.

I noticed at the early hours of this morning that WIN had their better watermark back (the map-less one). However when the program ended and the next program began, the map watermark was back.

I had a thought for the Perth coverup watermark. How about (don't shoot me) using the old advertising idea? It isn't what I would want but certainly better than a blob on screen. Anyone agree?

I don't know why they care about 9 fucking dots being on the HD feed in the first place.
