My thoughts exactly. NBN don't shytemark unless the market also has Nine.

By that, i meant the watermark they used for about a week after the change which said WIN in the nbn font and high definition underneath, it was the same size as the old dotty watermark.

I wouldn't think that was the NBN font that they use now. All it was, was the old logo with the dots removed and stretched to still fit over the HIGH DEFINITION text.

yeah that sounds right, it did look a bit stretched but i thought it was just the NBN font, but it makes sense now, youd think theyd've done the watermark on time.

I've noticed Nine's watermark at it's brightest during sports, then it's a little more transparent on the news, but for once, I thought they took it off when I was watching the final minutes of Family Feud. So close that time...

I actually quite like the WIN HD watermark.
It's fairly low luminance level & is heaps smaller than Nine's.

Oh & by the way, did you hear that WIN is commencing transmission of all HD programmes in the next day or so?

Finally they have common sense, I wonder why it was so huge in the first place?

Thats better... the first one was insanely huge. I'm just happy im here in Perth fully watermark-free from STW, even though the nein watermark in the eastern states is the lightest/most transparent out of the commercial networks.

I actually find that the Nine watermark stands out the most.

Hmmm.. I'm not sure directly because I don't see it at all, but I would have thought the re-arranged Ten one this year was the most brighest/prominent, though I guess it depends if the TV you are using is overscanned.

Speaking of the nine watermark, I saw on a tv in a shop today the nine logo in a 16:9 safe area on SD. Maybe they have finally moved it, or stuffed something up

Do you mean by the watermark that appears on Nine HD channel when the program is SD?

NWS-9 in Adelaide use a 16:9 safe shytemark on the SD channel. BTQ-9, TCN-9 and GTV-9 all use a 4:3 safe shytemark on SD and 16:9 safe on HD even on upconverted programs like Herb said.

Well it might have been the TV making the HD look so horrible that I thought that it was SD feed
