Oh boy some people who used to worship the air that Nine Perth transmits are going to have a rude awakening.

hosko, the term watermark has even been used by industry professionals that are teaching my CIT course.

Well I have actually worked at most FTA channels and some Pay TV ones and never heard it refered tto as a watermark. Master Control and Pres always refer to it as a "Bug". Sat Ops also calll it a bug when they ask for a bugged or non-bugged feed.

wouldn't that be the same as a clean feed and a dirty feed?

They never had a watermark beforehand? Geez, even Adelaide had it's set of watermarks, except for the news.

At present the only programs that get watermarked are sport and news from the eastern states.

No and there is a good reason why.

A bugged feed has a bug, a non-bugged has no bug, a dirty feed is the version switcher output without graphics and dirty version is the complete TX version complete with graphics.

Have to say I'm a fan of Ten's new sport bug. Very ABC US, and miles better than the current one.

Don't remember seeing it during Ten's coverage on the weekend, but the highlights Seven showed on the morning news had it there. Looks good anyway.

Apparently. Looks very similar to the one at abc.com for an example.

Yep, although I don't know why they bother with the DIGITAL, we know it's digital. Also, I much preferred the old HD logo, looked alot slicker.

It's sorta new... they just changed the Digital and HD around.

Not that it's HD, but anyway...

'DIGITAL' is now in upper case with a different font, and the actually 'HD' logo has changed.
