In regards to the old WIN dotty logo, that was an old version of it, however, they did update it from that awful blue and gold thing to a nicer fairly solid white dotty which I can't see why they didn't use that.

Another thing to note, if Nine gave WIN a clean feed today, why today? What has happened all these other years and yet today is different. Us WIN viewers could have had a nice transparent dotty WWOS WIN logo.

I hate that dark blue and gold look! I find it so dated. mischievous.gif It would be so easier for WIN, NBN etc if NINE would be kind and just do a clean feed for all their programs. Then it wouldn't be an issue for them. Hopefully one day it will happen.

They practically already have a clean feed for most programming....the only shows that don't get a clean feed are Today, N9N, ACA, Nightline, etc.

Why did Nine Perth have to change it?

Current watermark (yes, it's got a hint of blue)

Thankfully we only will have to put up with it for a week or two until Dotty's relaunch.

I hope the update won't be solid blue!

(by the way, it's back to 'normal'.)

Glad it now back to normal.

Just this time Nine Perth, leave the normal watermark alone. The more you mess with it the less professional your look is, also stop messing with it's transparency.

Im also looking forward to it. This will be WIN's first attempt at a Nine Station's look since it took over from Sunraysia and SCB.

the update won't be solid blue...there were machine errors apparently.

WIN won't be attempting anything. NWS & STW are still nine stations, and should run like the network..

All 3 "stations" (Adelaide, Perth, East Coast) have different RPGs.

PRG's?? That's because of the hardware setup....as we all know NWS & STW were independantly owned, so they didnt have the basis to keep up with network looks. But with WIN, I'm hoping that we will be the same as the east.

Huh? What does being independent have to do with anything? With your analogy, why would you expect anything to change under WIN ownership, Nine Adelaide and Perth are still 'independent'?

How about receiving no watermark at all, as in clean to the end home viewer?
That would be my preference, to be treated as a viewer and not as a branding loving consumer.
I can't believe the nonsense and carry on about these blasted things, they are a nuisance, watermarks and bugs that is!

with the WIN "network", they have access to more gear....Wollongong could have the neccessary gear to make the new PRG work, whereas Swan Television didn't because they are only one company ... not a network.

-- and NWS & STW are not independant anymore, they are part of the WIN television network.

I doubt that very much. I don't work in the television industry, but I don't think Nine Adelaide and Perth are that backward that they can't implement Nine's standard RPG.

WIN WA has no problems running the standard WIN PRG, and WIN WA runs from STW studios so I cannot see why not the WIN owned Nine Stations would have a problem with this. They had no problems with using the standard PRG with the last graphics package (2006) which was the blue bar.
