I hope seven makes full use of this venture, there should be a ton of seven content online such as special interviews or internet only talkshows like "survivor live" as an example.

I suspect we will be seeing many plugs on seven with this. Take note of how NBC and Yahoo have content of their shows online (see attachment)

Yes - but that was a cost-saving measure for ColesMyer - Grace Bros. and Myer both brands under the ColesMyer umbrella. This is a strategic partnership between two different companies which could lead to a well known brand being replaced by an entirely new (and therefore unknown) brand.

And look where it got them! :sarcastic: There was some outrage here in NSW when Grace Bros became Myer.

You'd hope 7 would make use of this venture...it's a case of wait and see...

Remember when Seven launched i7? Wasn't that a deal between Seven and NBC.... because NBC brought XOOM.com and launched NBCi, which all went bad...

So we've had i7, AOL|7, and now... Yahoo! | 7

I think Yahoo | 7 is different to AOL|7 though
AOL was an IP while Yahoo is completely different

if they do this right it could be good. But if they don't it will go completely the opposite way.

I think we'll have to wait and see about this one...I think it could work out really well.

Is it just me or all of Seven's new websites in the same style (Home and Away, 7Store). Maybe this is the style we can expect for Yahoo! | 7.

This deal is just one way for both Seven and Yahoo to increase the internet stakes higher. With both losing huge ground to ninemsn anything that manages to increase there user base is a win for them.

And the 7Store...

I assume Yahoo|7 will have a similiar format to the H&A, Aus Open and 7Store sites.

Hehe... I'm not sure if any of you saw this, but I just did a Google search for "yahoo7" and found this Yahoo | 7 promo site (redirected from here. It's not just Yahoo and 7 in the deal, but also Pacific Magazines (New Idea, etc.). I've attached the utterly awe-inspiring logo, too.

The vid on the website features Timmy (I think that's the TV man's name) hugging the big "Y!" logo.
