Shes effectively been warehoused by Seven until her contract is up.

Yes, such a waste of talent really. Wonder where she will end up after her contract ends with Seven?

Into total obscurity would be my guess, sadly. Nine has a surplus of news presenters and reporters and I doubt that Helen will want to deal with Ten ever again after the way they sacked her in November 2012.

She could always go back to SBS I guess (if they wanted her of course). But you're probably right, she'll just disappear and never be seen or heard from again sadly.

SKY are expanding their Melbourne operations... (might have to take a pay-cut though)

She is working on a documentary on medical marijuana called A Life of Its Own that will air in America in May or June: http://www.heraldsun...h-1227268291563

Well, she is leaving Seven after her two-year contract is up. What a waste of talent. Could she turn into a documentary maker like another former Seven reporter Jennifer Adams?

Disappointing to see a bright career grind to a halt, ten shouldn't have fired her.

I'm so sad for her BUT happy for her at the same time :)

If only she was still at Ten with Quarters...

the article is pretty vague . . doesn't say which US network will air it . . .(if any). At least she's willing to back herself by picking up the tab (or at least it sounds like she's covering the bulk of the costs). I could be wrong, but I think making any money from docmentaries is a long shot (unless you're Tom Hanks or Robert Redford or Michael Moore).

Helen has been appointed to the chair of the Victorian Multicultural Commission, the second woman to take up the job. She will start in August: http://www.theage.co...714-gibycl.html

Good on her.
