Google Australia has formed partnerships with a lot of great Australian websites, large and small. Today, we're excited to announce a significant agreement with News Digital Media.
Under the agreement, News Digital Media properties (including NEWS.com.au, dailytelegraph.com.au, theaustralian.com.au, heraldsun.com.au, couriermail.com.au, perthnow.com.au, adelaidenow.com.au, themercury.com.au and regional and community newspaper websites) and FOXSPORTS.com.au will have web and site search powered by Google.
Google will also provide keyword and contextual text ads on these sites, through our AdSense program.
This means that our AdWords advertisers can now have their ads appear on News Digital Media's range of websites, contextually matched to relevant articles. Having so many of News’ assets from across the country join our Content Network in Australia is another great step for our advertisers.
We look forward to working with News Digital Media in the years ahead.

This is the headline story on the page.
What morons are running the site?

What's wrong with that? Anna Coren has had numerous stories on TT attacking the Chaser, when she actually likes the show and watches it every week!
That story was in the Daily Telegraph, so it's come from there.
Unless there's something in particular about the headline you don't like

That was THE headline story on a national news page.
What a joke.

Use Fire fox and apply the addon adblock plus. It should get rid of most of the ads!

What a joke.
But that's what the story was about...the fact that Anna Coren likes the show when HER show churns out negative stories about the Chaser.
It's a tabloid news site...you have to expect stories like that.
As far as I can tell they've had the election top of their front page even before the election was called.
I visit both News.com.au and Smh.com.au equally...they're both different, and of course news.com.au has more tabloid type stories because that's what the site is.

Yes SydneySider, I think we all understood WHAT the story was about.
Again, no problem.
But I don't expect "stories like that" to be THE headline news on the site either.

If you click on that banner at the top it takes you to a page containing every single election story.

That is completely irrelevant. It shouldn't be up there whatever the time is.
The viewing habits of Anna Coren are NOT news!!! And a large proportion of the population wouldn't have a clue who she is to begin with!
That is not the headline story.
It is a link telling people to try their Vote-a-matic poll.
I said the Chaser story was the headline story on the main page. FACT.

Then why do you visit it?
It is a link telling people to try their Vote-a-matic poll.
I said the Chaser story was the headline story on the main page. FACT.
Actually it's not, it's a link to MANY things, including the vote-a-matic, electorate search and full election coverage.
If there's a big story to do with the election it's gone as the top story.
And I don't see a problem with the Chaser being in the top 3 stories, as I've said before it's a tabloid news site, you're going to see stories like that.
