Peter Meakin found guilty

In a developing story, Seven News and Current Affairs boss Peter Meakin was found guilty of dangerous driving and drink driving.

Meakin was sentenced to at least 14 months’ periodic detention and was banned from driving for eight years.

Newcastle’s “Mr. Radio” dies, aged 92

Legendary Newcastle radio announcer Pat Barton,  popularly known as “Mr. Radio”, has died early yesterday aged 92.

Nine Adelaide sold for $105m

Southern Cross Broadcasting will sell its Channel 9 Adelaide to the WIN Group for $105 million.

The sale is conditional on regulatory and other approvals.

The sale is expected to go through on or July 1.
