Southern Cross Ten to carry ONE HD
Jan 13
The Spy Report can confirm that regional Ten affiliate Southern Cross Ten will carry the ONE HD service from its launch later this quarter. This comes after months of conjecture amongst regional viewers whether the broadcaster would carry the new service after failing to carry any of the breakaway programming shown previously on Ten HD.
Since Network Ten announced ONE HD, their new sporting digital multichannel there has been much speculation whether regional affilate Southern Cross Ten would take the service, no indication was given at the launch of Freeview either that ONE HD would be carried by Southern Cross Ten.
The Spy Report also understands that Southern Cross Ten’s High Definition facility based in Canberra will be completed by February. This facility will allow Southern Cross Ten to deliver HD content to all markets served by the broadcaster.
